Meg was up early today to set the world stright. "ebay is here to stay".
I was so shocked to see her when she came on I did not tape her message. But basicly she said mistakes had been made but the "community would understand". Changes were in the up coming months on ebay. Skype would grow and the buttons were on some sites.
When asked about the relations with GOOGLE, she kept her kool. But by passed the ans to the question of do they get along. Mark even read a couple of emails from powersellers (he said). Meg got ruffled at that. I am sure she did not like the community telling the problems.
If I run across a full text of the interview I will post it.
Wana bet the stock goes down more?
Happy Days,

What kind of a dream world is ebay living in? I guess the same one that David Rockerfeller is in.
First they raise the fees, AGAIN because they are LOOSING money on the stores? Then they announce record profits. Hmmm, sounds like the gas companies to me.
I hope Meg's hair falls out. |

Ewwww!!!
EWWW EWWWWW EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
Geeez, com'on, we're already talking about a member
of the female species that could make Mr. Ed start flirting
with stallions.........
Besides, better than a bald Meggie (geeez, that just makes
the mind pucker!) how 'bout Meggie aflicted with the Pinocchio
Virus? Everytime she tells a lie or spins her bogus crap her
nose grows.
Why in just the past two days alone she could probably sit in
San Jose and sniff the stench of her crap on Wall Street....... |

I was searching for an image of meg on images.yahoo.com and wasn't getting any results. Then I realized, I had the safesearch filter on! Once I deactivated that option I could finally get results. I guess they figure the images might scare children?

| Ebays corporate, i dont believe they will be gone any time soon if not ever, but when things start to go sour as they are destined to do she will be the first to get the boot, or early retirement, or whatever they call it now.. Ebay on the other hand will live through setbacks.. Not that I want them to. I want them to crash and burn like everyone else... |

Yes, that would be great if they did crash and burn, but it is unlikely. I am afraid ebay is here to stay.
And if Meg does get the boot, you know she will get some huge, sweet severance deal. Probably millions. |

And how many would have said the same about, oh, Enron,
once upon a time? |

| Sounds like some of these companies that don't like employees talking and comparing note.....except sellers aren't employees! Guess she'll just have to live with people talking about how lousy Ebay has gotten. Even if Google is the one listening!! LOL |

And it's very true too -- and not just Enron. History is littered
with high flyers, giants of their industries, who have crashed and
burned.
And all you have to do is look at Ebay's actions over the last few
years to know that they're scared sh.tless. The handwriting is on
the wall - the day of singular dominance has past. Like lots of
changes in people's perceptions and habits, the automatic impulse
to go to Ebay to browse will shift with lightning speed once a certain
threshold is reached. This alteration in people's behaviour will swell
in geometric progression as people become more attuned to other
ways to search and shop on the web. Meg and her goons fear what
they know is coming - obsolescence - and even more threatening
to their very fragile ego - irrelevance.
It's not 1997 anymore. The Ebay of THEN is not the changeling
wearing that moniker today. The extensive litany of the sins of
the past are coming home to roost. The day of reckoning bears
down upon Meg & Co. and the pent up flood of bad Karma will be
proof of the old term "Hell to pay".
What I find most fascinating about all of this is how spectacularly,
and how cluelessly, they have stumbled into what will go down in
history as the 'tripwire' that excelerated the very cascade effect
that they fear so much. Their own greed and ignorance will have
precipitated their downfall. With their actions they opened wide the
view of the many who were willing and able to turn a blind eye for
so long.
But no longer. There is a sea change afoot. This time people are
not going to simply grit their teeth and put up with it. The tsunami
is building, swelling, and Meg & Co. have only themselves to blame
for triggering the earthquake that spawned it.
Karma in action is a wonder to behold, is it not? |
