Not only Meg but Bill Cobb too. Fine with me if they both get cancer.
Does that sound extreme? No more extreme than eBay raising the fees for
retired americans who are dealing with sicknesses and are trying to
make a minimal amount of money on eBay.
Have you ever seen someone undergoing chemo treatment and still
working to pay bills?
Should Meg or Bill Cobb concern themselves with the elderly or sellers with
chronic sickness who depend on eBay sales? Should Meg or Bill Cobb
show any compassion to the sellers provide all the merchandise that is
sold on eBay?........Maybe not.
Should I have any compassion for Meg or Bill Cobb? They lack any
human qualities that make life worth living. They are nothing. |

I certainly have a disdain for them and their business practice - but I will draw the line before cancer - OUCH!
Many more "evil" people worthy of death (child molesters & rapists come to mind).... but c'mon - I vote: That WAS extreme!

I agree here....cancer is a horrible thing to wish on anyone!
Although....I would certainly vote for any law that would punish animal cruelty by doing the same thing to the perpetrator that he did to the animal. But that's where even I have to draw the line. I'd like to find the guys that dropped their dogs from 6 story buildings and the guy that shot a dog with an arrow point blank. That'll do me.

I agree that wishing illness is not only bad form, but bad Karma to boot. You needn't wish bad things upon them, they are doing bad things, and they will get their Karma.
I like the Meg Bill stretchy face thing. Very fun. |

| I have a friend dying in the last stages of cancer right now. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but I sure do understand how that pain could drive someone to a furious anger if they and their livelihood were threatened. |

The only thing that I wish for Meg Whitman and Bill Cobb is that they get exactly what they deserve/earn.
This is a difficult and terrible thing, this fee hike. It effects all of us, and those in severe need more deeply.
But looking at the bigger picture, this isn't personal on the part of Whitman, Cobb or any other eBay exec. They're running a company and their job is to make money for the shareholders.
How they're doing their job doesn't sit well with their customers. We can like it or leave it. If they've broken laws, then their a$$es are on the line. Otherwise, it's their corner of cyber and their rules.
In addition, eBay is 10 years old. People had to get by doing a myriad of other things for hundreds of years before eBay arrived on the scene. There are options. The plain fact is: eBay is not responsible the the health and well being of the world.
So, the only thing I wish is that Meg Whitman and Bill Cobb get exactly what they deserve.
An it harm none, do what you will. |
