I just found I could edit this post so removed the urls.
Please go check the Announcements page about the
fee increase this coming August 22nd and then click
on "For more detailed information on these fee changes, please see our fee changes overview." and compare the two pages for the
fee increases. |

First post and gives us no good reason to click on some links... hhhmmm
I don't want to jump to conlusions, and I haven't taken the bait to click on the links - but I sure hope phisher's haven't made their way to this beloved site

Hi,
Sorry, you are correct there are way to
many phishing sites around. If you go
to the fee hike announcement page
directly at eBay then find the link where it
says "For more detailed information on these fee changes, please see our fee changes overview."
I have not posted in forums before but do
know about phishing links so I apologize for
that.
But the two pages fee hike information is very
puzzling why they do not match up. |

Ok, I gotcha - and my apologies...
Not exactly sure what I'm supposed to keep my eyes peeled for as far as differences between the two sites go - of course the layout is different... but the only other blatant difference i see are the dates the fees are to start - one says the 21st, the other says the 22nd... but in essence they both seemed to provide similar info
What do you see?

What I am seeing unless I am entirely
misreading is that the fees stated on
the index.html page of the fee announcement
page says for example the
$25.01 – 100.00 7%
but on the other page that is linked from the main page says
$25.01 - $100.00 10.00% of the initial US$25.00 (US$2.50), plus 7.00% of the remaining closing value balance (US$25.01 to US$100.00)
$100.01- $1,000.00 10.00% of the initial US$25.00 (US$2.50), plus 7.00% of the initial US$25.01 - US$100.00 (US$5.25) plus 5.00% of the remaining closing value balance (US$100.01 - US$1,000.00) |

LOL.... the links MUST be confusing - because the info you're providing (and I assume you're just cut and pasting) IS CONFUSING!
Perhaps this question is better suited to a current store owner (which I am not)... and we have friendly folks here willing to help, so perhaps just wait on them to catch your post.
Don't expect them to be happy about the fee hike tho! :D I am sure you're thrilled as well!

Hi again,
On the 1st page, the index.html page
says the fee increase is from 5% to 7%
And on the 2nd page that is linked on
their index.html page it says for the
same price range 10% plus 7% for
all dollars over.
And the other groups are not consistent
with what they say on the 1st page either.
So with $100 and above they said no change
but the linked page says 10% plus 7%
So not sure what the real increase is starting
Aug 22nd or is this a page showing the next
increase coming soon. |

One way to find the index.html page
is on eBay go to site map at the top
and then find General Announcements
in the right column under News and
then find
"A Message from Bill Cobb: Resetting the Balance of the eBay Marketplace"
This is a bit different page but still has similar
information.
Now compare what the chart on the index.html
page says and the
"For more detailed information on these fee changes, please see our fee changes overview"
link.
Again, maybe I am just confused and there is
no discrepency but do not understand. |

argh! the OP is talking about
***A Message from Bill Cobb: Resetting the Balance of the eBay Marketplace***
and
Fee Changes (the official announcement page)
they actually do match...but the formats are so different, it takes a while to finger that out! so never ferget...
"in confusion there is profit"

Hi,
so for the $25-$100 range is the fee increase
7% or 10% plus the additional 7% over $25???
It says 7% on the index.html page and 10% + 7%
of the remaining up to $100
Sorry if I am just being dense :)
Maybe I need some more coffee. |

found out that some people do know about
this tier and understood right away, but it
appears the vast majority at least in the
eBay Stores forum did not like me. That
chart on the main page is HIGHLY misleading
and deceptive in my opinion. |
