Hi All!
I'm in the market for payment processing options. Here's what I'm looking for; I figure someone here has experience with these and can give me a decent recommendation. Paypal's fees are wearing us out over here.
I need:
- Ease of use
- Allows funds transfer to my own bank account as needed
- Can be used on Ebay, HiBidder.com, Lowbid.com, etc.
- Doesn't suck huge percentages of funds for fees out of my earnings
- Doesn't require a huge sum for setup
I'll do some reading here in the meantime, but any practical help, pros and cons of various services, would be GREATLY appreciated. :)
Thank you!!! |

if you are doing over 6,000 a month in sales then go with a merchant account.
yes cost $$$ in setup, and leasing the software..
but.. you really don't want your business being controlled by anyone. period. with any service like paypal you are at thier mercy.
not sure if you were around for billpoint, but that was the perfect service.
since you have the ebay requirement, and they have told you that you cannot use google.. then you are stuck with paypal.
one thing i would recommend, since i checked out your ebay store.. is to stop accepting paypal for international.
force international buyers to pay by bidpay.. the old bidpay was perfect.. the new one is too expensive,, but it does have better seller protection then paypal. so you might just want to stop accepting paypal for international. |

| Hi NPP and Airborne!! I'll take a look at that. My monthly sales right now are between $1000 and $1500 - not much after you take out the Ebay and Paypal fees, but I can't justify a merchant account right now. Just trying to figure out what's out there and what I can use on the various venues I'm experimenting with. :) |

Certapay is a very good service (Canadian) as is Hyperwallet (Canadian)
Merchant Account is a good idea but if don't want a full merchant account then "Auction Checkout" is pretty good compromise service(eBay approved)
MoneyBookers is also a good choice and better then Paypal and also eBay approved. |
