I have not seen it posted on this site as yet but BIDVILLE.com was bought out just last week by UBID.com auctions. Bidville is now owned by Ubid and they are planning on keeping the bidville name on the site.
Buying bidville stock at .10 is probably a very good investment! Ubid has the money and experience to make bidville a success. It is very good news for auction sellers as a whole.
Not so good news for the smaller auction sites, which is why no one had mentioned this recent news on this site I imagine? There is so much flux with online selling now that no one "really" knows what's going to pan out, or become the next dead end road?
It's apparent that Ebay is all about making as much money as possible, and shows no regard for it's long standing seller group. All I want to do is sell off my stock and get out of this volatile business, and back into the local market were: A) competition does not know every aspect of what I do! How can anyone compete online longterm if your business is an open book to the competition to copy and imitate? When they know what you sell, how many, when, etc., etc. it destroys any edge you may develop? It just leads to price deflation.
I hate to feed ebay any money, as she will eventually eat her own kittens. What a great amount of pain this company has dished out in the last few years. Shedding all good will, while dispersing it's community, destroying many a small businesses and ruining poeples lives.
Shame on this corporate giant, shame on me that I may need them for another year to sell off my stock. They are bloodsuckers, I admit. I remember when it cost a nickel to list your item and you'd sell 3 a week of the same item! Now it's about a dollar and takes two weeks to sell one of the same item, if your lucky?
Now this bloodsucker will make more than I do, but least I can get rid of what I have left and exit auction selling. I see the future of online sellers as being retired folks working part-time to augment there retirement pensions. The fulltime "auction" sellers are a dieing breed I think? If your a retired, smalltime seller you can be optomistic about your future online auction selling. My time is up, my eyes are getting bad. I am done dancing with ebay next year, good bye - b@tch!

The Coyote.

I am the pround owner of 16,000 shares of BVLE. I bought before the uBid announcement and expected an upward bump on that news- it hasn't happened... yet. I too am very confident this stock will move, esp. with the holiday season around the corner

Coyote, there was a thread started here about the buyout. But like every other BV threads, it died out rather quickly.

Golf, gonna paper your bathroom? But then it could change tomorrow too.

Its actually quite amusing. My portfolio has typical blue chip and well known stocks, i.e. Disney, McDonalds, Exxon, Harrahs. Now with this 9 cent stock a 2 cent jump gets my attention. Kinda fun actually LOL. :)

I understand that uBid bought the ASSETS of Bidville. The LIABILITIES of Bidville remain in the hands of Bidville. Seems to be a shell with bills to pay. I hate to be pessimistic but I don't see an upturn for this stock.

Hi PJR,

Would you list some of the assets and some of the liabilities of BV if you know them?

The latest info filed with the SEC as of Sept 30, 2005 shows $2 million in liabilities. That balance sheet showed they were near bankrupcy. They bought Digikidz for stock now valued at approx $167,000 which would be their only asset that I know of. (No mention of them in the uBid notice). From the very limited information available, Bidville Inc. is practically worthless. They also don't file reports with the government on time. Not a good sign.

Thanks PJR. So they bought Digikids with stock options, did they? That's so Gerald!
