This latest increase in fees finally forced me to close up shop and say good riddance to ebay. I am just worn out with all their constant changes and actually I am relieved to not have to pay those massive fees every month.
I'm going to see if I can sell on multiple sites and not include ebay in the mix. It will be hard but at least I will have some control over my destiny.

Yup you are not alone ,alot of that going on
I've been disappointed with eBay stores and eBay in general , the era of the "eBay Biz" is passing , and eBay is only one of the tools in the kit.
I still find eBay a great place for higher value items and a great way to find new clients but for the lower value items....forget it.
eBay wanted to weed out the "Deadwood" from the stores well it certainly worked.
Low value items are going to other channels and my own site ,but if they think I will run more auctions they will be disappointed.
My eBay store will no longer be my "Hub" or "Co-Hub" alongside my own site
eBay store will be used to park some auctions to control costs and items will not be relisted after a single run
Auctions? That era is also over and fixed price listings are king.
My eBay store is still a valued asset to my work but its role has been diminished considerable amount. Its no longer my "Store"
Whats that sound? Its tens of thousands of personal biz websites springing to life ,alternative auctions and storefronts enmasse,Google Checkout and Moneybookers customer service working overtime. 8) |

Is it possible for people to start their own auction site?
As in your very own personal auction site where you are the only seller (others don't join) it's just your items.
You know what I mean?
Is that what you did? |
