It's pretty plain...which in this case is a good thing I think. The site doesn't distract the buyers from the gorgeous charms. May want to make the thumbnails just a little larger on the home page though. Not huge but just a tad larger to give better detail...so they will really want to go to the next page.
( And I did go to another page....that's why I said gorgeous. The thumbnails on the home page just doesn't do them justice!) |

| If the size were increased by 20%...it shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Or perhaps just have a few representative pics that are larger. It would give buyers a better idea of the quality and detail. |

| It's neat and organized. However, if our roles were reversed, I would do away with the words that trail behind the mouse. Many users find that to be a major annoyance and a bit distracting. You want the focus to be on your products, after all. |

Hey,
I took a short look at your site. It looks good except:
It took a long time to come up. I'm on dial up, but it took way longer than usual.
Ditto on the trailing words that follow the cursor. I hate those. It does distract from your charms.
Also, there is a whole lot of space on the right side of the screen. When I scroll all the way over there's over a third of the screen that's gray blank space.
Not trying to be harsh. I hope you don't take it that way.
Keep up the good work. |

I just looked at it again......in Firefox this time.
1. IMO, your wording needs a little work:
We have been in business since 1990, Making Charms and other jewelry items, selling on Ebay and also now on Wagglepop and we pride ourselves on providing customers with the best-quality products and personal service. You can order from us using our online catalog. If you have any questions feel free to email us!
I think it ought to be:

Just minor changes.........In my past experience short, concise sentences tend to grab the visitor's attention.
2. The words at the top -- The font (comic sans ms?) doesn't fit in with the general theme of the website. I suggest a smoother, more elegant font.
3. The stat counter would be better suited at the bottom of the page.
4. The two long columns of items seems a bit "clutterish" for a first page. I think a first page ought to be welcoming, introductory, etc. Is it necessary to have so many items on the first page? How about a top 10, or 20, even?
Just my honest opinion. For a first website, I think it looks pretty good. |

Welcome to PSU!! I'm on FF with high speed, and it loaded quickly for me!!
Perhaps to incorporate the feedback from the fine folks above me - you could make 3 or 4 columns vs. the two currently showing! That would allow the white space to be better used and bring more visability to your great charms before th buyer/browser has to 'scroll' down...
Love your choice of tabs/offers/specials! Great job for sure...
I looked at each page, and am not certain that I would make each page look different. You want your customer to remember where they are - and I think consistent look/feel helps them to remember you, your banner, your site, your offerings, etc.... Just my thoughts!
Keep up the hard work - I can tell you've been busy!! :D :D |
