| I was just on the phone with a supe from PP. They told me my account was locked due to a negative balance. They said I need to send a money order in for the balance. Once they receive it, they will credit it to my account and refund the buyers the amount that they are owed. The sad thing is, from what I remember, I sent all the items out, but it was after I was suspended for Sec 9 on ebay. Apparently the buyers asked for refunds. Either way, I feel like its worth the money to get back on PP. Does anyone think this will actually work? I kept asking if this was ALL I needed to do to get back on. She kept saying yes this is all I need to do, but I'm skeptical. Has anyone gone through this? Any help is appreciated, thanks! |

I'M sorry to keep posting, but I feel your pain! I am not sure if what the rep said is true or not, have had no experience with that. One thing that is true, though, is get it in writing!
Go to the contact form at Paypal, and report the above verbatim. Ask Paypal to confirm that this is all you need to do to get your account square againg. Others will I know disagree, but as I said, I've been through some terrible times (from my own stupidity in not being more careful!) with merch accounts. While a merch account will charge you less percentage in discount fees, they usually find a way to end up charging you more than Paypal would...just my 2 pennies...g'luck! |

And a post note: if you are going to take Paypal again, just jump through all of their hoops, you'll be safe that way! You can skate on the edge and accept unconfirmed buyers, as well as ship internationally airmail (and thereby have no tracking) if you want, or if you prefer, turn those folks away.
I insure every...single...shipment through u-pic, it's SO inexpensive, and although I've not had a loss (or scammer) since I started using them), I have heard they are quick to pay claims.
That way, if an international customer or unconfirmed Paypal buyer files a item not received, Paypal will refund their money - and you can file the claim immediately with u-pic. Let's you sleep better at night LOL!

| Eleganza, thank you so much! You are truly a big help. Hopefully they respond with a personalized answer and not something generic. |

Ouch!
Mo brings up a good point reference having a CC--Either that, or give them your bank acccount info so they can STEAL your hard-earned $$ at will
PP does not have my CC info but I did give them my banking info on a very small account I rarely use  It's known as my Winter account
Good luck and keep us posted as to how this turns out for ya! |

Ok, I just had a refund to make myself... So ... here is what I learned.
I had to send (per PP agent's instructions).... And you can do this from their canned help email thingy.
In the Subject line... Put in your PP case number
Then in the body... "I authorized PayPal to charge my credit card $xx.xx to satisfy
PP case# ***-###-***. "
"Please review my case for returning to unlimited status."
Thank you
NAME!
PayPal cannot just charge your card evidently, unless you are buying something. I linked my CC to it, and they didn't use automatically to take care of the dispute, until I actually authorized it. |

Oh it must also be sent from the main email account on file with PP.

is your account locked or suspended?
when our paypal account used to go negative the worst that would ever happen is that we could only recieve money. ( which is locked ) but we would only be negative a few days.
so you should be able to receive money..
if you cannot then it is suspended, and that is probably due to too many chargebacks.. so i would suspect that once you send in the money you may or may not be restored.
i would not believe anything the cust serv people say.... |

| Airborne, I am limited. I haven't used this account in over a year, but they linked my accounts back to it and everything is limited. They said everything will be OK once I do this. I find that hard to believe. I called them and asked them to put it in writing or email me. They said they could not guarantee anything, but had me email Appeals@paypal.com and ask them if there was anything else I'd need to do afterwards. I am awaiting a reply from them. I'll post how it turns out. |
