for 10 cents, plus free gallery & BIN.
The only catch is you don't get the credit till September...
You gotta be kidding me. Must be because of the boycotts.

NOTE: The reduced fees for this promotion will not be immediately reflected on the site. Users will receive a credit to their account by end of September 2006.
What kind of horse-hockey is that? Does it make their books look good for stockholders at a critical time?
I've already closed my store and while I could re-open it and just dump the inventory back in, then move it to a core listing (effectively making it 12 cents an item), I'll pass. Why would I want to be in a flood of merchandise on a site where the search doesn't work well even in core listings?
And why would I trust them to properly credit my account nearly 6 weeks after the fact? I've already complained to the BBB about their failure to correct billing errors they even admit to in writing. I will not list there again until they fix my billing error. The fact that they say they cannot do it by hand until their engineers fix the software bug is lousy customer service, and a sorry excuse I've not heard from *any* other business who has made an error. |

They're just trying to make their numbers look good for the 3rd quarter. Everyone should email all the financial people to let them know about this latest scam.
I really hope people read the fine print and don't fall for this! |

Take it to the news!
NPR loves these types of stories!
I was told to take out a full page ad in the LA times.
If we all pitched in I'm game, I'm not going to spend my hard earned money every time there's an eBay boycott if no one pitches in.
Last year I raised a little under $47,000 bucks selling my feeBay shirts, panties, hats and bumper stickers.
I calculated my bottom line cost to be about $51,000 bucks with ZERO contributions from anyone.
Remember we're here for a reason, and we ALL need to work together to make a difference.
I say get this out to the news PSU this time, make it stick. That last guy you had I forget his name from florida, changed his tune about eBay shortly after he came back from a meeting with brass in SJ.
I asked..... So? what happened how did your meeting go? He said to me.... I'm not allowed to comment.
I bet anything they either threatened to end is life on eBay or paid him a rather handsome sum to keep his mouth shut.
I never heard another word from him here or anywhere else! |

If you Don't read the Fine Print on this Latest 10CENT listing "Deal", and you upload listings from your STORE that you created AFTER 2PM on August 14th - They DON"T COUNT!!!! Just be sure you know this as when your invoice comes around in September you will be in for a nice big SURPRISE From FeeBay.....I think this is what they are hoping you WON'T READ!

I just posted this on an other thread
but should have been here,I guess?
from the seller centrsl board:
"Huge Error - Got the $0.10 email and listed the wrong things
bodyforegolf (81 ) View Listings | Report Aug-15-06 12:00 PDT
AHHHHHHHHH
So I got the .10 + free gallery email last night. I set all of my listings (several hundred) to list. I was so excited!
Then today, (after all of them are listed) I read the fine print that says these items had to have been a STORE item MOVED to fixed/auction???
What B.S!!
I would have NEVER listed these hundreds of items today, and CERTAINLY not with gallery!
What can I do? This is a potential thousands in losses thanks to this error "
This is so sad.I don't think this is the only one who is getting "zapped" with this promo! |

I just noticed this one! OMFG!
I was just about to move a bunch of my items from store to auction before midnight PST. Before I submitted my first item I noticed the fees.... $5.15 is a lot more than 10 cents!!!
FOR SHAME EBAY! Tsk, Tsk **envirobay wagging his finger at you and your unethical tactics**
I wonder how many sellers are going to be tricked by this? This is the first time that I have known ebay to be THIS slippery when running a sale. It's sort of a bait and switch, isn't it? The email they sent me doesn't even have the word CREDIT anywhere on it.
With the way I usually list items during these sales, this dishonesty could EASILY add up to THOUSANDS of dollars in unknown fees. I can't afford to spend that, and I am sure many other sellers can't either. The sad thing is, I am not sure that too many other sellers are going to notice this TRICKERY until it's too late.
I just can't believe this. Just when you think they can't do any thing more to slap us in the face. Why be so deceptive? Why not mention the credit in the email advertisement?
They make me sick! |
