Prove him WRONG!!
Keep boycotting (if you are able), keep petitioning... and keep (to quote him) "protesting, screaming, crying, ranting, raving, begging, petitioning, pleading, and threatening " (hahaha, what a nice guy, eh?)...

Actually he's right.
No amount of petitioning, screaming, begging etc... will make eBay change its mind.
The only thing that will make eBay sit up and take notice is the smell dollars, or to be more precise, the lack of it.
The only way to make a difference is to stop selling on eBay altogether or by moving most of your items to other sites. |

here is a question that I think would be very
hard for eBay to justify? If indeed it was
truly important to "weed" out many duplicate
items and move more things over from the
stores to the auctions, what was the need to
do that nearly overnight? Why only give
people a bit over a months notice to destroy
their business? And if they pretty much knew
in May why did they keep pushing people to
fill up the stores and then pull the plug? |

My blog response to this guy:
14. A clear example of another person who knows nothing about how Ebay operates. Bait and switch tactics, witholding information from the public about fee hikes until the last possible moment, using the profitable side of a business to pay for a dead dog your getting killed on (Skype)is NOT a grow or die statement. It is however a we are dying statement. I have found other outlets for selling that work very well and FEEbay can go to hell. As for your friend, tell her to think about where that other 10 to 15% could go instead of in FEEbay's pockets. |
