I saw an article almost identical to that one on another site this morning. I tried to find a place to tell them that they have picked several of the worst sites to recommend.
Hey maybe an eBay rep wrote the article knowing people would flop at those sites and crawl back to eBay.
BV is 1 of only 2 site that I've been on for more than 6 mts and never sold a thing there.
I know some people have done well there, but I haven't.

With all the wonderful sites out there I can't believe they picked these.
But it is the first time I've seen the Wagglepop fee chart. They're low now, but I can see this place turning into another eBay  |

| just looks like an incomplete alphabetical list to me. Looks like someone should tip off the web master how many sites there really are. He/she will be at that for awhile. |

| Well, so far of all the alternative sites I've listed on Bidville is the only one that has given me any sales. I'll keep spreading out, but it seems to be a Your Mileage May Vary kind of thing. :psulove: |

snoopygirl,
You're so right and that's excactly why we aren't united all on one site.
I haven't sold a thing on BV, but you are doing OK. Erin does great at Yahoo but I haven't. I do good on Blujay and others don't like it at all.
No one site works for all of us, so we just have to keep checking them out and see which sites work for each of us.

Hi to all!
Am I correct in understanding that Bidville can only allow 2 pictures per listing item? What I sell needs lots of pics (minimum 6). I was looking for an option on bidville that will allow me to post more pics but can't seem to find any.
Please help if there is.
Thanks! |

| Carol, I think the one thing we can agree on is to leave ebay, which I have already done. |

Diesel,
I don't know the answer to your question, but remember that you could put the pictures in the description of your items instead of uploading them all. You'll need a hosting account somewhere like photobucket.

Bidville allows you to have two photos hosted on their servers per listing. You CAN, include as many photos as you like if you embed them in the HTML of your description and host them on another site.
Hope that helps. |

I like BidVille especially since UBid bought it
but that can take some time before they really
get busy with promoting it more.
And BidVille for some reason slid a bit on keeping
the items listed on Froogle/Google Base but they
say they are working on it so hopefully that will
be fixed soon and then there will be more
exposure (and hopefully Google will put that
link back on thier home page).
BidVille has grown a lot so one of the top listing
sites so gives me hope.
I think a good strategy is to pick at least one
of the top sites and then the more classified
ones like BluJay and eCrater. BluJay says
they are working on something BIG. And then
can always do Google Base 30 day listings.
BluJay also had an issue with not getting all
their listings to stay in Froogle but the owner
is working on that with whatever the BIG is.
And then select at least one of the new and
upcoming auction/store sites.
So the more diversity but spread across the
sites that have the best reputation and the
most listings and other types like classified etc.
and helping a new upcoming one can be helpful.
I have sold on BidVille and BluJay and others
I have recently joined so too early to tell. |

I have a BV account, and tried there for a while last year. I love the 'management area 4 sellers' - it's very nice and easy to work with! I didn't get any sales to see how that works, and then took down my listings as I started getting busy with other things/family/sites, etc.
I've always liked the look/feel of it!! Please keep us here posted on how sales are over there - I'd love updates!! :D :D |

| Since Ubid bought them....they should have more resources for improvements. I'm keeping my eye on them as well as Ebid. |

I like the ease of listing at both bidville and blujay. I hate having to use html to add pix to a listing. I too need more than 2. But the buyers aren't getting more than 2 right now.
However, you CAN use more than 2 at iOffer and I listed a few more over there today. |
