(What began as a statement of past findings, lead into more discussion on the flawed Feedback system at Bidville....)

When BV implemented the Storefronts a few months back, the software was `retrofitted` to the existing auction software. The consequences are that BV does not have a stream-lined methodology to leave FB. There are two distinct procedures to leave FB. One procedure is for auction items and one procedure is for store items. The worst of it, though, is that each procedure is very different.

Auction items can allow individual feedback for each item bought/sold. Storefront items are not handled that way. When there is a multi-purchase transaction from a storefront, it is all grouped into a single "item" number and does not reflect the true quantity of items sold.

Trying to leave FB is very difficult, if not impossible, for some. BV would need to redesign their software module to correct this anomaly. I`ve asked. It has not been done. Sadly, though, the Feedback-Rating is the system that online auction sites use for "reputation", yet it is very flawed at BV.

If one dug DEEPLY and spidered the site for closed auctions, then the measurement would show auctions sold and auctions relisted/ended (no sale). This is how MedVed determines their Sell-Through-Rate. Personally, I won`t take the time to do it myself. The sampling that I took a few weeks ago satisfied my curiosity, though. These numbers show there is a correlation with the low MedVed STR of less than 1%.

Feedback for Store Items can be left the same way that feedback for auction items can be left.

Moderator, You need to read what I explained. The reason you provided does not address the issue I have presented here.

A Storefront Seller CANNOT leave feedback for multiple items that are purchased from store inventory. You can leave ONE feedback for the LOT of items, but you CANNOT leave feedback for the individual sales. When emailing BVCS, I keep being told that the store items are placed into one store order and to leave feedback for the store ITEM, not the order number. I understand the functionality of BV`s feedback system. The point is, that feedback is only being allowed for ONE item (the store ORDER), and that shows an incorrect quantity of transactions when there is a multi-purchase from a storefront. It happened on a number of occasions to me.

Our current system does not allow individual feedback to be left for each item purchased in a lot. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you. We have suggested to our management team that we implement the ability to be able to leave individual feedback for each item sold in a store.

So there you have it. Even the feedback system does not work correctly.
