I found a neat little option on Bidville. Its called a personal message and you can find it on the Trackpal section.. What it does is it allows you to type a message or enter in HTML and the message will automatically show up on all of your listings.. This is pretty cool if you want to add something, advertise some shipping specials or whatever you can think of.. I found it useful because my listings didnt have all of my shipping info on them such as my rate box, etc.. So I put my HTML shipping box on there..

Do any of you have any tips for selling or buying or account maintenance on BV? Thought this would be a great place to post your tips.. Since many of us are trying out new places maybe this will help everyone so they know how to get things rolling...

Heres a neat little tip..

When using the bulk lister, dont select front page featured item as a default...

Someone did something like this and didn't like the $545.00 bill for it???

I won't mention names (lol) but they started this thread...

I really like your Personal Message tip! It's called a Global message on other sites and I will surely make use of it on Bidville! Thanks!

In the Bidville bulk lister, open your Preferences and on the full listing page, make sure it's un marked. I'm saying that from memory as I'm working on another machine. But that should be pretty close. LOL

And said person who was also the OP and happens to be the one who loaded 500 listings, should try ONE auction listing and ONE store listing to make sure it works.

Get it right, it was 100! lol.. or so I heard...

Said person wanted me to tell you that he or she figured it would be the same since the store listings had all worked (and had tested it 1 at a time), but of course we all know what happened to thought, right? lol..

can I get someone to give me a csv sheet that is properly setup for bidvilles auctions, because I have tried numerous times to do a bul upload and cant get it right and the Bidville support who has helped me in the past have ignored my repeated requests.. The last time I tried to do a store format change to auction it automatically gave me the featured listing upgrade and I cant shut that off..

You might need to send a PM to angelsolutions (if nobody responds here). I know she'd be happy to help you out, but she's got some RL things going on and isn't very active on the boards right now!

If you don't get the help here on the forum, just send her a PM!! I don't do 'csv' well at all and only have the proper format for HB - otherwise I'd help you out! She is the 'master' of the csv format! :D
