Hi all
I want to thank Bill Cobb for giving me the kick in the pants that I needed. I closed my Ebay store right after the announcement, and finally got serious about starting my own online store. I've been live for about 3 weeks now, and I'm already making sales and ranking above Ebay in Google for some terms! Yahhh! Fortunately, my better half is a web marketer, and is using all his little secrets to drive traffic to my site.
I built the site using an Oscommerce install that came with my hosting package, but it has been very heavily modified on the backend. I have learnt a lot about php in the past month! I would love any thoughts or comments on my site, and I'd be happy to share what I've learned with anyone else out there.

Charmaine:
Welcome to PSU - love your site and really like the border at the top!!! One suggestion I have - when I click thru a left-side link, say FP, I couldn't figure out how to see 'more' than what popped first!!! If I were you, I'd make the top sub-links more prominent!!! I did figure it out, but it took me a minute.
I love toys, and you've got a great start here! Adding a little more color here/there would also be nice - even if it's just your links and sub-links!!
I'm glad you're here at PSU and best of sales to you with your site/items!!   |

Thank you both for your kind words about the site! And in regards to the banner, I do have to give credit to my better half for that; he designed it for me in his spare time :)
Erin - Thanks for your suggestions! We are planning to do a redesign of the colour scheme this weekend, so hopefully that will help a bit. And at the same time, I'm going to figure out how the make those darn subcategory links more visable, I totally agree that they are hard to find for new customers.
I know that I will probably keep tweaking this site forever, so these comments are very helpful to me. I really want to make a site that will feel like an Ebay store for all my former customers, and be welcoming to my new customers that are finding me through Google and Yahoo.
