Hi axsstech,
I am not a techie so can't in all fairness give a very knowledgeable critique, I can ascertain though your site offers a very viable web presence package, other than that I can only comment on the cosmetics which is very nice, I especially like your flashing banner at top of your page, very unique.
My first observation is it takes your page a little to long to open and I'm on cable with XP, as I said just a tad to long, not bad at all.
Now please don't be offended as this is only my personal observation, you of course like what you like, and I have another opinion, and wish to give you a honest opinion only, pro or con, and I am familiar with how honest opinions can hurt at times, on with what I am trying to say being as sensitive as possible, intiially my first observation, and speaking for myself only, is your opening page was much to busy, kind of confusing, I didn't know where to look, go first.
I can see you put a lot of hard work, time and TLC into building and overall I do like.
If your not upset with me I would still like to exchange links/banner with you as you suhhested in another post, whatever our opinions it can only help you, me in Search Engine Optimization.
Wish you success with your sites, and hopefully new alternatives to FeePay. |

very good observations dypzzz, that's what i was looking for. :D
no offense whatsoever taken, i am looking for honesty...
i've been tooling around on 3 different sites this last week & some banner & logo graphics designs for some other sites, and it is very hard to be objective when you've had your nose stuck in the work (plus working my 9-5'er).
i was afraid it may be too graphics heavy (loading times), and i've been experimenting with different modules on the homepage to see what might work, this is a new design package i've never used before. i'd been using frontpage & zencart for years and wanted to try something new.
thank you for taking the time out of your day to reply, muchos gracias...
once i'm up & running, i'll get with you on the banner exchange, again- thanks!
any other thoughts, commentary are welcomed. |

Standard speed load up for me, in other words, slow on dial-up. (Everything is slow for me...) The only problem I saw was the text overlapping into the images on the "web site services" pages. (I'm using Fire Fox.) All of the other pages loaded perfect!
Great site!!! |

Kevin, I'm on dsl and everything loaded in less than 1 second as I looked at the different places.
I don't like the black backgrounds, though. Maybe it's a girl thing but I want lighter backgrounds and bright colors for everything else.
The black just gives me a feeling of "evil."

thanks happy...
the site actually started as all white with colors, but it looked too generic & cookie cutter to those i asked (a couple of 'em were female).
i haven't decided on the final colors and i appreciate your input, changing colors with css is easy enough, i think i may lighten it up like you suggested, thanks! :D |

But, I like dark caves and such...
Actually, I did like the color, if that weighs in anywhere. |

axsstech:
I took a looksie and am also using FF on XP with HS Cable. It took 6 seconds for the home page to load - so ya know. Not too bad at all!
I do like the colors, and am usually not a fan of dark backgrounds. It makes my eyes 'work too hard'. However, if you decide to keep it as is, I would suggest you make the font a tag bit larger on the front page (white font under the thank you for your patience).
I clicked around on most - maybe all of your 'sub-pages' and they all loaded 4 me in under 2 seconds. So - great speed there! I would suggest the same as on home page - larger font (I've got over 40 eyes.... ).
The statement, top right - "Your cart is currently empty" is hard to read - I don't know if it changes colors when an item is added or not, but you may want to make it do so if it doesn't!!! A reminder of items pending purchase is always a great thing!
On your online consignment page, the Yahoo banner is fuzzy on my end, and if you intended there to be a link, it's not there!
Great banner -as Papi said - love the scroll on the right and the menu set up on the left is eye-catching!
Great JOB!!! Hope this helps!! :D :D |

I took a look too. The black and red.. (love red) doesn't bother me as it seems to go with the theme. I didn't feel anything was out of place. Front page load was ok, didn't go to any others.
Looks cool. |

i've got to be a pain in the arse (again),
but i reworked the template(& colors, based upon the suggestion here that it was too dark) and dropped about 250k of size...(looks a little more Web 2.0 now, i think)
can anybody look at this & let me know whatcha think now?
i know the header looks broken in IE(of course, not in Firefox),
but maybe when IE7 goes final, Microsoft will FIX THEIR BROWSER!
thanks again folks! |

Okay, Here goes.
It does load much faster for me (the one on dial-up, with the turtle connection.)
Only one other problem I saw, on the Auction Selling Tools page you used yellow for your text in one paragraph. It is now close to invisible to me. (Its a link to something.) All of the pages load really fast after the home page. Great! |

Hi!
Great job on your site!
The site took a tad longer to load then most, but not bad at all (i'm on cable, using firefox).
The only suggestion I have is that from just looking at the homepage, I couldn't tell that you are a store. I read the intro about the services you provide..but if I was just a random person visiting your site looking for an item, I wouldn't think you had it
Is there a way you could remove some of the ads on the right side bar? I think that would help make it less busy, plus when I shop online, I am hesitant to buy if a site's catalog has ads.
Again, you have a great site/template and I hope you aren't offended by my suggestions. Good Luck!! :) |
