:shock: :evil: Pay pal just limited my account as a precaution during a random search of account for suspicious activity.
WTH!!!
They want me to fax them my DL, Electric bill, and proof that I have the last 20 items sold via ebay in stock.

How in the hell do I have them in stock if they have all shipped out via ebay /pay pal/click n ship and theres the tracking numbers right on pay pal for each transaction...except for the last 3 items that sold 15 minutes ago?

I just ordered another 500.00 worth of garments for future sales and have 300.00 on pay pal and it is LOCKED.

THIS IS BULL CRAP.
All my listings I have all over the place have this one pay pal account in it for payment....

Any one else have this problem?

I'm surely sorry about that. I don't sell at ebaY any more, so thought I'd bump this for you. I did recently inquire about a printing issue, and they did give me a phone # - do you have a # to talk to a 'real person' - I know....I'm reaching here....

I do agree tho - how do you provide items currently in stock that have already shipped? :roll:

designsbycpe, sorry it finally happened to you. But, it does happen to hundreds of thousands and that's the world of paypal...always has been and always will be until they are no more. Now, wouldn't THAT be nice!

Drop em like a bad habit! :twisted: Same thing happened to be, did all that stupid paper work, waited all my time and still didn't let go of my account. On top of that, the held it for six months. They had some of the story right, I was on a friends computer, who did skip town but I don't care, it wasn't me :roll: They didn't want to hear that, said I could be and might be the same person and yadda yadda. I was like cool! hung up, told em to kiss the :butt: :shock: and moved on to open my own merchant account, never looked back and did great without em! Bidpay is good too. A word to the wise, if you sell on ebay, don't say you do not accept pp, cause that will turn people away. Indicated you do accept credit debit cards in your TOS and leave it at that, don't put the paypal logo on your page cause then that's wrong if you say you take it and don't. If and when you get back on board with pp, set up another account with another company that has a good reputation. I learned never to put all my eggs in one basket. Hope that helped

goodstuff4you, I almost forgot about that great site! I stumbled upon them years ago when an ebay seller had the logo in his listing. This must have been when they weren't policing the listings so closely. It's a great site with links to more anti-paypal sites.

I wonder if the only accounts to get frozen are the ones who are active on Ebay. There are quite a few merchants who use PP and never go to Ebay. Do any of their accounts get suspended, I wonder?

Sounds an aweful lot like a couple of Spam emails I have gotten recently. You didn't click on anything with-in the email I hope. I always look for my name on those emails. Most of them don't have it.
I would call them directly if you can.

Oh no... you have entered... PayPallHELL.

Been there. Done that. It is not a happy event and you are really at their mercy. Paypal is NOT a bank and have little governmental regulation that requires them to do things you probably think they should de required to do.

I sent them the documentation 2x. I called them and got BS.

Finally, I faxed them a copy of my payment for my state's annual Bar Dues, a copy of my sate's Bar Identity Card with my registration number, along with a terse note:

"Yes, I really am who I have been telling you I am. And I really AM a lawyer :twisted: . No one else would be stupid enough to pay these bar dues except me. Unfreeze my account. NOW."

My Paypal account was unfrozen very quickly.

Were it not for that 'advantage', I don't know how long I would have been in PayPalHELL.

Boy I have been through hell and back with pay pal!!
I finally found out what the heck this is really all about. Needless to say I am not thrilled but made pages up on my site with all the details for anyone who would like to see what I am going through!

I have my account back , click the words scammed by a friend and read what happened. Bottom line.. I had to pay my money to restore some one elses pay pal account and now its up to me to take that person to court to get my money back.

Sorry this is happening to you.

sure is odd what they are expecting for verification. Like someone is gonna break into a sellers home and hold them hostage, selling everything they have in their home til paypal calls asking for electric bills and other personal identification.

Paypal asks me to fax over that stuff... gee, the way I'm feeling, it's enough to make me want to print their message and poop on it. Fax em that picture for verification.

I sent the proof the wanted, piece of cake, they had no problem with it.
What they had a problem with was some one elses pay pal account.

They had sold stuff never produced and all the chargebacks was -109.00 and pay pal wanted me to pay for it, even though they finally figured out, it wasnt my account, I had no access to it, no control over , no contact with the owner whom I use to be freinds with. SHE was stealing from people and they wanted me to fix it in order to get my account back.
