On my primary web site I have a large example gallery of cards and other artwork created with rubber stamps. Other valuable information has been made available in the past. Completely free. I have also answered numerous questions and directed people to other companies in search of specific products that I don't have.
All of this takes a great deal of work to produce and make available.
I figured why not ask for donations.
I have a warped sense of humor which took over when I created the
"Make a Donation" category in my webstore.

For over 2 years, I got positive responses from everyone who emailed me concerning the content of this section. Then suddenly on Monday, I got 3 emails within an hour from offended women.
Since I am as far from "politically correct" as a person can get. Instead of removing the offending part, I expanded and added additional content and added new donation reasons.

Although I find it very funny, i'm not sure your ecommerce site is the best place for this type of Humor.
It could steer potential customers away
