rather than moving all of your listings to a site that others choose for you, why not pick ANY off ebay site, then link whatever store you choose at SHOPTHEHUB.com. noone has to relist anything, and everyone can unite at the same time. it also avoids the risk of overloading 1 or 2 of the alternative sites with huge influxes of traffic that could cause them to crash.

its quick, its easy, its effective, and its totally free until november 1.

Maybe we can do both... Or how about a third idea, anyone have one?

The point, boycott eBay and make your business work elsewhere... right?

For that is what this is about, I'm up for anything that helps my business model AND gives eBay what they deserve/are asking for...

I'll need to go and check out SHOPTHEHUB when I get home...

And that is very generous of you offering a month free!

im all for uniting to overcome ebay's monopoly of online shopping...
i think that is a pretty pervasive feeling here on psu.
both buyers and sellers need alternatives.
competition is the best way to strengthen the online marketplace AND keep costs down for both buyers and sellers.
the only hurdle i can see is that once people pick a place to go, they need a way to market their new home to the public so they know where to find them. free sites are great, except free means no money to advertise, or even hire a marketing team that can strategize effectively.
that is the purpose of shop the hub.
to a) allow everyone to be everywhere and together at the same time and b) to actively market the site and its sellers.
strength in numbers is the key. the catch is overcoming the rivalry among all the sites on here, and bringing them together in a positive and productive way in order to form a united front.

im not quite sure what you are referring to as far as ecn and df.. i tried googling them and it came back with nothing whatsoever similar, so im guessing google just isnt picking up whatever youre talking about.
what it is is a shopping portal, a hub, where everyone can link together and have their products marketed without having to relist their items anywhere else. that way they can choose whatever site that works best for them, and link with everyone else to form a common hub that they can all be marketed from; an easy place for people to find them all together, while they are still all over the web.
