eBay released a study that shows Austin, Texas is the most impatient city in America. The study, commissioned by eBay Express, pinpoints exactly where Americans want, expect and are willing to pay for speed and convenience. By issuing a press release with the research results, eBay hopes to draw attention to its new fixed-price marketplace.....
So what U.S. cities are high on the eBay Express "impatience quota"?
* Austin, TX
* Indianapolis, IN
* Houston, TX
* San Francisco, CA
* Dallas, TX
* Jacksonville, FL
* Baltimore, MD
* Fort Worth, TX
* Memphis, TN
* San Diego, CA
* Louisville, KY
* San Antonio, TX
* Columbus, OH
* Phoenix, AZ
* Philadelphia, PA
* San Jose, CA
* Los Angeles, CA
* Chicago, IL
* New York, NY
* Detroit, MI

I see that my city is on the list |

Do I dare comment... LOL
If these reporters would look at what the SELLERS are saying, might paint a different picture...
Finally saw my first express commerical last week... The one where the guy's nose keeps growing as it keeps saying "You won't find anything new on eBay Express"... My husband was sitting next to me watching, and said "I don't get IT"... I laughed so hard, because he didn't even realize what he said...
What a crock, there ARE used items on EE... Another spun tale from the almighty Bay... |

And on another note, eBay if you are reading (and I'm pretty certain you are): Isn't that what STORES are for???
Incredible deals can be found in stores, IF YOU COULD FIND THEM!!!!!
Store Owners loved stores, customers loved stores... So why don't YOU like stores, eBay? |

Noticed almost a third of the top 20 cities are from my home state---> Texas. :shock:
Thought we were suppose to be laid back down here 8)
Wonder how much this "study" cost EE ? I mean how much does it cost to ask a few college kids " Are you impatient?" :lol:
Seems like a waste of $$ and someone's time IMHO
But to answer your question EE?
This Cat is very patient and resides in Texas, just no where near Austin :) |

| Five listings for us Texians. Wow... I'm not really sure how this is going to help them. I live a couple hours from DFW ( Number 5&9) and I'm "mostly" a patient... But I'd never take the time to deal with ebay. |

| I put my own counter in my ebay store. If I get 10 hits a day that's a lot...a far cry from what Ebay is saying I get. Same goes with the counters on their auctions. I still keep Andale counters going and Andale and Sellathon say my counts are far less than the ebay counter. Do they ever tell the truth about anything these days? |

I have to agree with eBay (for once) on its data , my own sales data says TX are far more likely to pay at higher fixed price.
That said....my store being hidden on eBay certainly is not helping clients FIND my sales.
I often have sales for special interest collectible eastern european books listed in my eBay store as there is no point listing it in core. I have more international customers visit my store Slavic Books Biz then my eBay store lately. |

When listing I notice my listing often starts at 2 or 3 hits ,so there are likely a few extra hits on counter everytime. |
