|
|
I was editing my ecrater site last week, and when I tried to preview it, there where no items showing.
I emailed ecrater and it took them 2 days to reply.
All they said was I had violated a Policy and my store was shut down.
They wouldn't even specify, they just told me to read the Store Listing Policy again.
So after I went through and deleted everything I though they might be referring to, it took them another 3 days before my store was opened back up.
In the meantime I had opened a store here on PSU, and boy am I glad I did.
But this is just a heads up to you other ecrater seller. Keep an eye on what you list, because they give no waring, they just shut you down cold turkey |

| I know they don't allow certain things to be listed. What got you's closed? Lingerie or adult themed items? Just because it's adult themed doesn't mean it's pornographic. But some sites seem to think that way. Any item that is adult themed but done in good taste shouldn't have a restriction ....but some sites do restrict all adult themed items. |

I have no clue what it was, I did have some Lingerie listed, but I wouldn't call it "Pornographic".
So I just got rid of everything that could be questionable.
I just don't get it.
do a search on ecrater for Lingerie, and look at what it shows....
:x
The least they could do is Specify why they did it...... |

| Who knows...maybe some of your competition complained. Happens on Ebay all the time. |

I've been restricted for a day (smacked my hand) because I put a toy ca gun in my store. When I looked there were a bunch similar to mine and without the orange plug. At least ebay told me what I did that was so bad.
I've had no problem with my ecrater store and certainly don't wish to have any either. I'm surprised they didn't tell you what item or items you listed that is against their policy. If you don't know how can you not do it again??
I'm starting to hear negative things about almost every site out there. Still the big E has the most negatives of all and I do choose not to have all my eggs in one basket again.

Sorry to hear about your problems, buytime :(
FYI, ecrater is now prominently listed as a Google Checkout e-commerce partner, so I'm sure they are dotting their i's and crossing their t's. Heres is the announcement on the ecrater forum:
eCRATER has been approved as Google Checkout partner
After taking a peek at your website, you shoud read the post I just put up down in the Google section:
2 Day Revision Fest
You have a number of "designer inspired" goods on your website. Google Checkout will kick your listings out of Base if you use those terms, or if you link to a website that uses that term. I'm sure e-crater is going to keep things on the up and up and follow Google Checkout policies to the max.
As I said in my other post, though, that's a good thing!! |

That post didn't really come out the way I meant it to, it's been a really long day!
What I meant to say is ecrater already has a well formulated user agreement and policies in place. Having won such a great placement as a Google Checkout partner, I have no doubt they will make sure that all ecrater users who use Checkout (which your website says you accept) come into compliance with the Checkout policies and requirements (and anything "designer inspired" violates those policies)
There! Now I'm going to bed LOL

Well I guess im compliant now as my store is back up.
I moved all my apparel items over to my PSU store.
oh well.....
I didn't know "Designer Inspired" item was a bad thing, I know that
a blatant copy of a product is, but not a Simular... |

Yeah, I know, buytime, that's what I thought, too!
I don't think that will work, Crystal, because you'd have to use the designer and/or celebrity name to compare yours to, and that's a no-no :-(
In my Checkout payments accepted area, I have added text that they are to email me if they want to pay via Paypal. At that point, I'll send them the link to the same product in the web store.
Same will apply on my website, I guess, I'll just add text that if they want to pay by Checkout, send me an email, and I'll send them over to the Base listing.
Will be an interesting study to see which listing brings the most hits and sales! I just refuse to put all of my eggs in the Google Checkout basket by conforming my website completely to their policies!
I haven't checked the ecrater policies closely yet, but I would imagine they will not allow any off-site links. No problem, planning on just leaving my inspired stuff....un-inspired LOL |

Several of the most common errors that ecrater.com sellers make are
Listing the same item twice
Listing an item in the wrong Global category
Listing with no reasonable description --- like see picture.
Listing an item that is not for sale - including pre-order items. |
