My sales have dropped on ebay - drastically, only about a few hits per page. It was amazing, last time this year,I couldn't hold still - was so busy! The weird thing is, sales have increased tremendously on other sites. I love it! I saw a few other post and indeed it is the same for other sellers. I wonder what's going on??? It seems that sellers are moving and taking their customers with em or something.....Wonder if this will last or its just a slump!

Our sales have bottomed out, also. (September's sales are well less than have of August's.) But while my faith in eBay is pretty much gone, my husband's is not. He is reluctant to let me list on any other auction sites, (we sell his t-shirt designs, so he is the boss ;) ), although I do have our PSU store up and running now. And I plan on putting a lot of things back up on Goggle.

His reluctance stems from past sales on eBay; there have been several times when it was all we could do to keep up with the orders. And he's very afraid that, should I list on other auction sites, we'll get overwhelmed.

I guess we'll find out during the holiday season, and shortly thereafter. In the mean time, due to the fact that our eBay sales are his main source of income, we are really struggling to pay the bills. But we'll make it through... :)

Good point and with hundreds of store closings and ebay auction sellers fed up with ebay's policies I can understand why more and more sellers and buyers are moving onto some of the smaller alternatives--Thus fewer page views.

It only makes sense that when small & large sellers move to another selling venue--You can bet he or she is going to alert their loyal shoppers.

Don't forget. Most online sellers also buy products online :D

So true Elgato, so true - I too am sorry for those who have had diminishing sales. If ebaY would spend more energy and effort on their customer service than on their 'concern for listings and the forum posts', life would be 'great' there.

In the past 3 months, I've sent in 2 customer service issues. Neither have been resolved, and both were first addressed thru a form letter that didn't even come close to identifying and offering assistance for the issue I wrote about. Can you imagine how a new person would 'receive these'?

As a long-time ebaYer, I know the drill. I know they use canned responses, and I know there's a bit of back/forth to get an answer/action. However, in both of these instances, my need for help was critical (to me), and they are both not resolved! So - it doesn't surprise me at all that buyers and sellers are moving on - or at least looking longer/harder before they buy!!

As far as Ebay is concerned - they suck - we all know it and have been waiting for this opportunity to move on.

Mrsmoondog - you must be proactive or your income will continue to decrease. Being reactive with the "wait and see" approach will ruin your business. You MUST actively market your PSU store and I recommend opening stores at as many of the "other" auction sites as you can. If you end up getting overwhelmed, you can easily shut down some of your stores. Act now and don't wait for things to get worse!

Don't buy anything from the expensive site any more. With increasing fees, the product price will be very high. It may be even higher than that in local market. Go to other cheaper site for your item / product.

Please don't scold the Cat but my sales at feebay have actually picked up over the past couple of weeks with an overall STR around 10%.

Not bragging of course, but besides OLA.com and a couple of sales at the ole website and live events, I'm not moving much merchandise anywhere at this time.

Hopefully things will pick up at the alternatives soon with the holidays on the way. :D

I have seen a drop of about 30% of sales for last two months , although I've taken steps to be far more efficent so its a lateral move.

Went on a campaign ,generated 4 times , yes 4 times the normal hits...I would say targeted hits through various channels.

Result? Sold about the same

Generated alot more interest but not great sales.

People are not buying alot even with competition weak and good items at fair prices.

I don't believe. Cost is doubled. Sales raise 10%. Don't cheat net fans.

Things have been weird with my Ebay sales since beginning of September. Nothing sold for about 5 days - then a shot of sales - then sales dropped again another 5 days or so. It's been going on like that since. Right now I'm in a dry spell.

My Mom and I decided to work on our own online storefront and then may get back to listing auctions on some other sites, but I was putting so much work into listing all over the place and getting no sales that the storefront seemed like a good idea, and I can list other places while I advertise the storefront (when it's a little closer to being done). :)

What I really need is a break from the computer, which I haven't had since about 1999. LOL!!!

I couldn't agree more, but he's not budging. I think I'll go ahead and list on another site or 2 and see what happens....

Wish me luck! :D
