Hi,
I think I read on the forums that additional diskspace is available. Does anyone know the charge for each additional 100mb?
Are there clear and simple instructions for store set up for e-commerce dummies like me? :?

If you need extra space just email hosting@powersellersunite.com The cost is $5.00 for 500 megs which is automatically backed up every night.
You should try the admin demo http://www.powersellersunite.com/psustore_admin_demo.php so you can get a feel for the store. We have excellent support in our hosting and support forums which you will get access too once you sign up. Since the PSU store is based on Joomla and virtuemart you can also look and use their manual as a resource.
HTML knowledge is a plus but it is not needed. |

Thank you for your response. I already tried the Demo and found it to be a little confusing. I also looked at Joomla and Virtuemart. I guess I need more step by step instructions.
We tried Prestostore which is very easy but I think this offers more than Prestostore. We also have used Zoovy and Marketworks and both of them have a steep learning curve (for us).
Do you know if anyone offers services to help set up one of these stores? Basically I have an excel file with 15,000 products and would need help uploading it and getting the store up and running. |

You can usually find all the help you need in our PSU stores forum. Currently only hosting members have access.
There are plenty of threads on how to load a bulk file. I answer a lot of the questions in the forum myself so I can help you setup your store.
Do you have images for all your products? For example to upload your products to your store you will need to ftp the images to your site. Probably arrange some of the columns in your excel file to fit our format and then save it as a csv file. Then you can upload the file to the site. |

Hi (don't know your name) but you are the only one responding!
I guess I want to be sure that this is something we can do on our own without having to pester everyone all the time. It took us 2 years to learn Zoovy (and still learning) and we hated not knowing what we were doing.
At this point we no longer have the luxury of time. We need to be up and running very quickly on this project. That is why I asked if anyone sets these up (as a paid service).
Also, we went through the templates and want something a little different. Would we go to a designer for that or are there commercially ready templates available for purchase?
Thanks. |

| You can actually download templates off the internet. We provide many templates but if you do a search on google for joomla templates you can probably find a template that suits you. This will drastically speed up the process it takes for you to get your store ready. |

YOU ASKED;
Are there clear and simple instructions for store set up for e-commerce dummies like me?
YES, there are instructions and they are clear but if you don't know Joomla and Virtuemart-- then problems come around. At least for me they do/did. I have been trying for 2 months to get a store set up. ( I work part time on my store) Paul said he would help me as soon as he can (he had to make a trip to the Hospital). But do not blame the program, I am totally a greenhorn from TEXAS! :?:
The reason not to many post here for stores is because most PSU Members don't have a PSU store. I think we have close to 5000 ++ members. YEH! Some members continue to use other auction sites. Which is their personal choice. I want my own store, I will continue to list a few items on auction sites.
Here are the positives+++ If you know what to ask you will receive great help and usually it is fast. Me I am just now finding out what questions to ask. From what you have posted you are miles ahead of me, a +++ for your PSU Store. A helping hand is there for you. I am sure Paul will help when he gets well, but please let me get set up first. Then he is all yours.
I suggest you give it your best and try. Powersellers Unite has received national recognition on CNBC. I think that is one big giant leap for us.
Once you sign up you can post on the forum for store owners another ++++. I read it religiously in hopes it will drill some knowledge into my brain. Yes it has!!
Welcome to PSU ...........see you at the PSU Store Forum.
Happy Green days to you and yours,

Hi Pinecone,
Thanks for your response. It was good to hear from someone who sounds like they know just about as much as we do and maybe even more!
I am not sure that our knowledge of othe systems will translate into understanding Joomla/virtuemart.
The PSW e-commerce solution sounds wonderful and we would very much love to use it if we can get it going quickly. If we can't get it done then we will have to shelf it for now. I guess it is worth a try.
By the way, who is Paul? I am new to PSu and don't really know anyone. I am sorry that he is in the hospital (whoever he is) and hope that he will be better soon.
I am off to look into Joomla templates and also to read more about it.

Hi BBB,
Did you used to sell Judaica on Ebay? If so, I was a customer and bought some Bracha Lavee art. I've looked for items from this seller on Ebay a few times, but nothing was listed when I looked. |

Hi DLZ,
Yes, that is us. What a suprise it is to bump into an old customer! You probably dealt with my husband, Ben.
We have undergone some changes in the past year or two. We decided to separate the ebay store into two - Big Busy Bee Art and Big Busy Bee Judaica. We had the Big Busy Bee Art store redone first and the website sort of set up. We are now working on the BBB Judaica store and website and hope to be done in around a month.
If you are looking for Lavee artwork we have a number of pieces listed on www.bigbusybeeart.com and are in the process of listing more. They will also be on www.bigbusybeejudaica.com.
The project we are referring to here has nothing to do with the Big Busy Bee stores. We decided it was time to get a serious name ;-) and branch out and have several things we are working on at this time.
Do you also have a website through powersellers unite?

How exciting! Yes, I bought from Ben. Actually, you used to have a white tallit I wanted and never got around to buying. I'll check out your websites. Thanks!
We do have a PSU store--not live yet, but hopefully soon. A friend and I sell collectibles and stuff for friends. It will is www.dlz4utoo.com , but still under construction.
Glad you found PSU, Cee!
