I have been a collector of rare TV shows and movies for many years and I know what's available on commercial release DVD and can spot a counterfeit listing immediately when I see it. I've reported countless listings and they never get ended. For example. one Dallas, Texas seller who uses two different eBay usernames "rosewranch" and "roadsuccess", sells 3 different TV show titles that have never been released on VHS or DVD and are not public domain. The titles are "The Snoop Sisters" complete series, "Ellery Queen (Jim Hutton version) complete series and "Johnny Sokko" complete series. In the seller's ME pages, he even says clearly that his items are on DVD-R, which is an eBay violation itself. He even goes on to say the he's a VERO member! And he also claims he owns the copyrights to the shows! And he even warns other ebayers that if they resell these items, he will come down hard on them. He sells Ellery Queen for over $100 a set. This is a fairly short run show with not many episodes. The seller is making a killing. I was very glad to see that eBay added the "report this item" link on each listing page, but using it gets no results. I have thousands of shows I could be selling and getting rich from, but I choose not to break the law.
This seller's feedback clearly verifies that he is selling bootleg copies. An unsuspecting buyer who doesn't do any research before buying and is disappointed with their homemade DVDs will get an instant retaliatory negative feedback if they leave a neutral or neg. feedback for this seller. New suckers come along daily. It's not fair to buyers that this seller involves them in copyright infringement unwillingly. There are a lot of buyers who know that they're getting bootlegs and don't care, but there are also buyers who don't know.
Why can't eBay do just a tiny bit of research on their own to determine whether or not a title has been officially released? It's so easy to do.

Ebay seller jrwmkaw is one of ebay's largest POWERSELLER bootleggers. She currently has 110 listings and every single one is a counterfeit DVD set. If you want to help take a bite out of the huge amount of money these thieves are making, simply go to any of their item listings and click on "report this item" at the bottom of the page. If ebay gets enough reports, they might take notice.

Hardly one of the big players with only 3,000 feedbacks?

There are many bootleg sellers with over 50,000 even 100,000 feedback scores

Ebay won’t do jack as the listings do not suggest any illegality. He even names his S Korean supplier

Did you buy something from him and want to get revenge????...if so you should just ask for a refund. IMHO you are going about this totally wrong

I don't believe ebay have introduced the Report this item button yet

The reason eBay does nothing about it is they make money, until all the honest sellers leave and lets eBay impode with all the fraudsters and scammers I doubt anything will change. Its like some corrupt govermnment it almost needs an armed uprising.

That "Korean supplier" is a smokescreen. The seller is simply using the old ploy of implying that their burned DVDs are "imports". I expected replies like yours. Watchdogs and whistleblowers are never very popular. The fact remains that every tv series they are selling is owned by someone else who is not making a penny from these sales. It's pure and simple copyright infringement.

The report link has been at the bottom of each listing page for at least several months. Illegality is suggested on every item because not one of the tv series has ever been released on video. That means they were recorded from TV. That's an ebay violation unto itself. Look it up. You suggest I'm "going about this totally wrong" on the assumption I was burned? Well, for one, I wasn't burned by this seller, so that blows your assumption. And how else would you suggest stopping this bootlegger from operating? I've gone through the proper channels on ebay with no results.

its all about MONEY! we got booted 3 times twice as power sellers and the last was early in our ebay run. we got booted for being honest and protesting... what was ebays reasoning for booting us..." a potential problem or trouble maker". Buyers and sellers alike loved us, ran 100% feedback even thru ebays harrassment campaign and yet scammers run amuck. what a shame the joke ebay has come and how pitiful they have become to allow their so called acquisition site paypal to dictate terms to them. But ebay and paypal bashing too is a waste of time as ebay dont care and we should be focusing on making money for us and our friends. Power sellers UNITE !

worldofwholesale,
Why are you selling your items for much more than the suggested retail? For just one example, you are selling a sword for $60+ and the actual suggested retail is $44. Are you buying at retail and then marking it up? Like I've always said, very few people with the name "wholesale" are true wholesalers by any means.

apop what the heck are you referring to? you now are making a slanderous comment towards an honest company. if there is an error in a listing then it certainly needs to be brought to our attention. what item are you talking about ? if the listing is incorrect I will have it changed. and why now an attack on us right after I publicly made protest against ebay hmmmmm maybe you are the ebay snoop in disguise. I think you had better check yourself

and of course as a righteous watchdog in the pursuit of justice, your identity is hidden. I demand and explanation and apology. it is ironic to me this post occurs directly after my postings last night about ebay and paypal, which did not even pertain to the posting in this area. since my postings last night I have recieved over 6 emails from paypal and ebay, maybe I have found who it is in here that is running smear campaigns against honest folk, a coincidence , I think not. did you notice apop you have to sign up for wholesale prices? and again what item are you referring to, so that we may correct any errors. why would i post with over 4800 products a selling price higher then my listed retail value on purpose? Maybe an error? Why dont you just call us stupid! I have been in business a long time, you are dealing with no fool and I do not appreciate the slanderous remark,

You are WAY too paranoid. I just simply inquired about your prices. The item is HUGE 57" Royal Claymore Sword M751B. I checked several other items and the price pattern is the same. I know who your supplier is. If you offer these items wholesale, then tell me what your wholesale is for the Claymore is. Nothing else. What the heck does ebay and paypal have to do with this? Why would they suddenly send you a bunch of emails after I just asked about your prices on an item? FYI this isn't even an ebay site.

I explored your site a bit more and I have to say it's not professional at all and you're in the Stone Ages. You don't accept any type of credit card payment or Paypal. You're selling your items on the internet, you probably get a lot of information in your daily life off the internet, you buy things on the internet, but when it comes down to accepting payment, no one can pay online? How primitive. And your About Us page is chock full of spelling errors and grammatical errors. Not professional at all. All this on top of having artificial "wholesale pricing" adds up to being a site that's like a million others. The only true wholesalers are ones who actually buy large quantities of items in containers, either from domestic or foreign sources. Very few "wholesalers" are true wholesalers. If you don't want people "snooping" around your site, you shouldn't put those giant banners in your posts.

never said it wasnt an ebay site, and the posts I am referring to are not even in this section, and you didnt simply inquire about prices and no you dont know who my suppliers are, you are assuming. you obviously do not know how wholesalers work together do you. and yes we do import direct and yes we do sell wholesale. yes we do work also in conjunction with many other wholesalers not an uncommon practice in the import wholesale world...what you did was make false and slanderous accusations as you hide behind your mask. a phony and a fool. who do you work for?
