|
|
Those who have recently visited BidVille.com have been surprised to see the changes that have taken place. The popular alternative to Ebay is really starting to show some physical changes taking place.
New text fonts, the addition of help tabs, and store tabs have made both these items easier to find. You'll even find some new images touting the great deal on BidVille stores that are being offered.
Watching the rotation of the front page featured items you'll see many new name brand items appearing in all different categories. It's becoming more than just a cheap sports card shop. You'll even find those hard to get ELMO TMX's and minature role playing figures in the rotation.
BidVille has new owners and management and it's apparent that they are not going to sit around and twiddle their thumbs like the owners of the past. This is soon going to be the site to challenge the big place for your business. |

BidVille is posting over 1 Million listings to froogle weekly and has starting to advertise on their sister site, Ubid.com. More advertising is being anticipated as the BidVille site gets improved.
Emails have been sent out to all registered users on both the BidVille and Ubid sites. |

Boy, someones not thinking here. You are paying hundreds of dollars to list and sell that car on ebay. Why do you do that when you can sell the same car on BidVille for $10.00 max and keep the rest of the profit?
Granted they don't have the traffic yet. But until doubters like you start coming aboard with items other than cards. Everybody will continue to go to the bay and you will continue to pay those ugly fees.
Many, many new name brand and higher priced items are being listed now. Why don't you get smart and join the crowd?? |

Funny, that happens everywhere I go. Even the bay. Try putting in more qualifiers or using quotes. |

HonestJoe,
I want to thank you for keeping up the updates on Bidville for us. It is a great site with excellent seller features that has needed so much work. It seems to be finally getting that attention now and I'm glad!
One of the best moves UBid has made is to clean up those boards! What a breath of fresh air.
Is there any news from UBid as to other plans for the site or stores? The banners look great, but using them on site only isn't going to get that far. They need to do a little better than this.
I'm willing to come back with a full store, but not until I see efforts to actively market and advertise the site. I've always loved it there, but this is what it's lacked the most.

Your Welcome Sylvia,
Ya know it never hurts to put your listings up at BidVille. After all it's free. If it sells, the FVFs are cheaper than the other places. And if it doesn't nothing is lost. |

You are right Joe, there is nothing to lose by listing there since there are no listing fees. I would be happy to pay final selling fees if I sell something.
The Featured Store is a bargain if you have sales. I am going to close mine when it expires because I havn't had any sales. But am definitely going to keep auctions going there and hang in to see what the new changes bring. |

I am considering opening a Bidville store--have eCrater and iOffer and BluJay. Closed eBay end of August.
The stores I have seen on Bidville so far have that garish Bidville banner on top. Is there a way to avoid that multi-colored heading?
All of that busy-ness of color & boxes is distracting to me, both as a buyer and as a prospective seller.
I couldn't find a way to get in and look at the available storefront templates without signing up for a store. Any way to do that?
Warmest Regards,
Donna |
