Seems to me that most people I talk with just do a title search. If I pay the extra cash for a subtitle will those words count when someone searches titles only (And not descriptions).
I imagine it would but i wanted to be sure before I did it. |

From the eBay HELP Pages
HELP For Subtitles
Note: The text included in the Subtitle will not be searchable when buyers conduct a "basic search" of titles. However, the Subtitle will be searchable if the buyer searches in "titles & descriptions".
To answer the question -------- no, it is not searched |

While it's not searchable unless it's specified by search type, if you have something really special to say about your product in a highly competitive category, the subtitle can be an effective way to catch the shopper's eye.
I agree, it's not a cost effective as a search "add on". No point in paying extra for what's already in the description. |

| Much appreciated. It really does seem like a waste of money under most circumstances then. |
