Here's a question for my fellow ebayers out there. Gotta couple nice music boxes today at a sale.....each has a wood base with working brass mechanicals....one is a ferris wheel, the other is an oil rig.....both Taiwan made of decent quality, minty shape.

Would you run in at auction "core", or put it in your store.....and if so for how much.?

I can't find one listed, nothing like them. and without spending hours on google, etc. it's just my best guess.....happens pretty much daily.....I've always wondered what other folks do.

I'm sick of running auctions and getting 10 bux for an item i know is worth 50.....sickofit.......lol

but if i put it in my store and let it ride for a couple months i'll get my money......sometimes sooner, sometimes never.....ya can't know everything, nowhere near

AND if i don't stop getting post notifications from PSU, I an't never gonna get nuthin done

ya i know i can turn em off....lol

There may be a popular local classfieds area

I know my Canadian city has a very popular site of free onlne classfieds called USED as well as online submit paper classfieds

I hear in the states craig's list is huge in some places , and there are others

I would list item for high fixed price , with best offer on feebay

If item is good and in demand , ask a high price for it , and consider reasonable offers. Also classfieds ,more so if its hidden in the store.

If your ecrater store gets sales ,then its better then most eBay stores then why not park it there after ebay 80% chance of letting you down.

Don't just count on feebay thats for sure , those days are going going....

If you're putting them on Ebay, and know the approximate value, I suggest core with BIN option - I started posting more core items with BIN and have been getting sales. Regular auctions, folks don't seem to bid, and store items, they may not find. This seems to be working for me, maybe it's a seasonal thing, not sure.

There are discussion boards on eBay with experts on any thing you can think of.
I've gone to the vintage board, for example. They knew all about the style, the pattern, the years between which my item was made.

If you find the right one, their help is invaluable.
