We recently signed up with monstercommerce and am finding that I just don't have the time to design the site and the basic templates they provide just don't do it for me.

I am looking for templates, or someone to design the site for us.

Due to staying with eBay a little too long my budget is...well not great but we really do need to do something.

Anyone care to help.

Sam

Did you check here?

http://kb.monstercommerce.com/Support/activekb/default.asp?ToDo=view&questId=163&catId=7

sorry, I'm not that familiar with monstercommerce. Looks like it's a in-house system. (like my shop-script store)

They do have an in house design shop. $500.00 gets you the very basic then you would need to get them to work on the design...looking at about $2400.00

I will work night and day before I pay them that much.

Ok, now I understand...

There are other shopping carts that don't require you to use that much html, etc. And that are much cheaper, I bet.

Did you do searches for other shopping carts besides monster?

Are you *real* attached to monster?

I looked at alot of shopping cart systems before I narrowed it down to either Volusion or Monster. I went with Monster as they gave me the better deal.

They have a great "theme" system that allows you to make changes site wide. There are some other things we want but with our eBay business and others I just can't get everything done on my own.

Hi,
Just like to say that if I can figure out how to have a store on powersellers then anyone can.
If you have some knowledge other than ebay you have a ++ going for you.
Most of us know about the money factor....that is why we try to help where we can. I just spent a week making items for a client, and I would have rather been working on getting my store going. But the money has to come in for it to go out...........oh what a fact.

If you sign up for a store you can post on the site for store owners. You should look at some of the stores.
Here is one http://www.koolstuffguyscollectibles.com/
Wow, I looked at some of the sites and they went much more than the one you quoted...........I grew more grey hair. Then I ran fast.............

Happy Trails to You till we Meet Again.

Hiya pinecone!!! LTNS! :D

well sam...dunno what to tell ya. to have someone help you would require giving them access to your store and that would probably mean every time you wanted to make those "theme" changes (just a guess).

What pinecone is referring to is our PSU stores here. (link on the left "Ecommerce hosting"). That's why I asked if you were real attached to monstercommerce. 9.95 is ALOT better than 99.95 in my book. If you'd like, TEST DRIVE the demo store and the admin side of the store, the links are there.

From my banners below, "A Unique Gift Boutique" is a PSU store. I set that up in about 30 minutes. Chose a template, entered my administrative info (shipping table, payment info, store name, blah, blah). Dressed it up and it was ready. That was last weekend. Been playing with it ever since. LOL You can change templates at will--site wide.

"The Boutique Shop Online" is a shopping cart program from Shop-script. Works like a dream, except for working on the templates. Part of the programming (smarty engine) I don't understand, but the cart itself works like a DREAM. Mine is the premium version, installed for me for free at my godaddy hosting account. Advantage: the script is now mine and it's open source, so I can modify it.

Both stores use bulk-listers and have google-base feeders. The PSU store also has an RSS feed.

There's lots of other great bargain places out there. These are just two. I'm completely sold on the PSU stores myself.

But seriously, I hope you find what you need. I wish I could help you. The purpose of my post was just to let you know that there are *easier* and *less expensive* ways that aren't as much *work*. :(

Send me a pm if I can be of any help, K?

I think monstercommerce is built using oscommerce so you might be able to use oscommerce templates for your monstercommerce site. I am not sure if they are 100% compatible and how much you will have to change to make it work.

We offer a store solution similar to monstercommerce for a lot less. Ours is built using Joomla and you can find many Joomla templates on the internet that you can use on our stores they are 100% compatible. We also have many templates available that you can view on our demo site http://www.powersellersunite.com/~demo/PSUstore
