I guess I've just poked around the site a bit more than you have so far.

There are plenty of times that I don't see the thing sitting right in my face, so don't feel bad. There will be something that I just don't "get" that you may have down pat.

We all are here to help each other get beyond the big E. GC looks like it's going to be a big help if we can get the people to use it.

Carol, absolutely it's going to be a big help. I didn't have any problem at all getting my buyer to go right to it. Especially when I told him that Google wasn't charging me any fees right now. :)

I just sold a "previously loved" Barbie doll on Yahoo. Sent the Google invoice, (which was quite easy). Shipped it through Pp's shipping system.

The cost? The price of the doll, plus .14 cents for the shipping label.

As my oldest daughter would say, ~sweet~

Other than the Google site has had some issues over the last 2 weekends, the site has been fantastic.

I think Google has been getting a bit more use than they expected on the weekends and the site has slowed down dramatically.

I've had at least 20 payments thru GC in the last 2 weeks.

GOOOOOOOOO CAROL! Sounds like the whole world will be planting!!!

Had one lady tell me she couldn't get it to work on her Mac. That's the only thing I've heard since we started using it.

Something New again at Google Checkout.
http://checkout.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48115

That is the list of countries "Google Checkout is available to buyers with billing addresses in..."

Canada and the UK are now in that list.

It does say "buyers", not sellers yet. But that does mean that we can GC invoice our international customers. They have to be sure that the payment is in USD only with their cards, as GC will not do conversions.

I only found this thru a post on the GC groups. They seem to be working on GC faster than I had hoped or thought.

At this rate, I'm sure support for foreign sellers is just a mater of Google getting approval with the different countries banking commisions or whatever it is they have to do.

I KNEW I'd seen Carol post somewhere about some additional countries. YES! UK is one. Just what I needed.

Thanks again, Carol!

Just a quick update on my GC adventures.

I've been working on switching my web site from PP buttons to a cart that can take Google Checkout. After seeing that OSC didn't seem to have a working contrib, I decided to try Mal's Cart, especially since Mal assured me that he had customers for which the GC worked fine.

I hadn't realized at first that Mal's is just buttons much like the PP buttons. After I finally figured out how I needed to set-up mu shipping for my items, it is a snap.

So far I only have my main tomato page converted over. I set-up the page a bit differently than it had been before. There are around 200 buttons on that page now.

But I got my first order just a little bit ago. Someone from Redmond, Wa ordered 16 packs of tomato seed and the order looks like it came thru flawlessly, on my end any way. The order goes thru Mal's and then to GC and then to me when the customer enters the charge card. It looks nice and it's charged OK.

YIPPEE !!!

Now to get the rest of the site changed over.

Will do Marty.

I still have a lot to do, but the worst page is out of the way.
