Have been researching ecommerce hosting packages for quite awhile and stumbled onto PSU. Impressed so far, but have a few questions.

If I subscribe to the ecommerce package that buys me just one store - using one domain? Or can I host all 3 within the same package? (Or would I need to purchase 3 stores? and if that's the case, is there any discount?!)

Re: templates. I've looked at the Joomla templates here and on the web. Just how easy are they to truly customize? Can pages be added to my store via my FrontPage software?

Is (or will it be) Google Checkout supported?

Thanks in advance,
Sue

With the way it is setup each package can only hold one store. If we add another store it will just over write the current one.

Currently there is not a discount for multiple stores. But if you pay yearly instead of monthly the price goes from $9.99 a month to $8.25 a month.

Joomla templates are pretty easy to customize. The template file itself is one file(index.php) and a css stylesheet and then images. So to change the color and style of your template edit the css and replace the images. To change the layout edit the index.php file

You can't really use Frontpage to work on Joomla templates. Joomla is module based. The templates have code\placeholders for the modules. So if you wanted to move a banner from the bottom of your page to the top. Instead of moving all the banner html code you just move the banner module placeholder to the top. So you can use frontpage to edit the code but the WYSIWYG part of it will not work.

I am currently working on a Google Checkout module which I am hoping to finish soon.

Thank you for your very prompt reply.

In going back to look at some PSU live stores again, I realized that I hadn't asked another question. This one is about individual product pages and photos. I noticed that only BWMsnow shows a "full size" photo of the product on the individual product page. Assume this a a choice one can make when doing the data entry and page set up for products.

However, I read somewhere on these forum discussions that having multiple photos per product is possible. True? If so, how do/would they lay out on the page? (my choice?) and would they have to be thumbnails or could they also be "full size"?

Finally, can you direct me to a good forum discussion (your forum or another) or a tutorial about customizing Joomla templates? I'm a self representing artist, so I'm picky about the "flavor" of my site and I definitely need multiple photos per item.

Again, thank in advance.

Yes you can have a full size image on the individual product page. You can either turn off auto thumbnail generation, make thumbnails bigger, or upload full images in the thumbnail section.

Yes you can have multiple images per product. They can be any size that you want and in any layout. You would just add the images in the product description like you would on ebay for example

Here are a few links on Joomla templates, They might be a little more indepth then what you are looking for since they can tell you how to make your own template and not just edit one.

I so much appreciate your response! Fast and in plain English! :-D I'm now off to explore the Joomla links, but am beginning to think I've found a good home for my sites here at PSU.
Thank you,
Sue
