Love the look of ecrater, just a bit confused about check out and shipping.
I would love to figure out that matrix for actual shipping costs, but have no idea of how it works. My items can range in weight for 5 oz to 8 lbs. I ship worldwide.
Until I figure out the matrix for shipping, I thought I would go with a flat rate. When I set up my first item, I noticed you can only put your prices in for US-mainland, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. If I have a sale to Brazil for example, when they check out what will the shipping portion of the invoice say or will it prompt them to contact seller? Also, how will flat rate work when a buyer purchases more than one item? Many of my international sellers do this.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Christine |

Flat rate shipping excludes international buyers and they will be charged $0 shipping.
For combined shipping, if the buyer pays through PP or Google and just uses the eCrater system, they not receive combined shipping. Your best bet in that case would be to issue a refund.

Here's the shipping matrix link that will help you set it up using the "weight" numbers as identifiers rather than as pounds.

Thanks a lot. I am looking forward to getting set up and started. Looks like a great venue for my store. I just dread all the listing I have to do, I will just take it one item at a time.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone:)

Good luck with your store. Once you get the hang of listings it is really very easy. If you get stuck just check out the forums, there is a ton of information available to help you out.

Christine, the listing is really super easy once you get more familiar with the overall style of eCrater. Other than the lack of HTML, and the way the thumbnails are cropped if they aren't square, eCrater is the most promising of everything I've seen.
Good luck! Feel free to bug us if you have more questions. The eCrater community board is great, too. |

I think I will be bugging you all quite a bit...lol I am halfway done filling out the shipping matrix, hopefully I am doing it correctly. As soon as I know I have that correct I will be listing away!
