If you use paypal, you need to know this, for your own safety!
I have a customer at Yahoo who claims a package was never delivered. I sent Paypal the USPO tracking information that says it was delivered on 1-3-07...but the customer claims it was not.
I have the email from her stating that her postman leaves her packages even if she`s not there to sign, because she is crippled.
So likely this is what happened.
Paypal refunded her $85 dollars to her and says DC is NOT ENOUGH proof of delivery!
So don`t think you are protected by DC with Paypal...you`re not!
I`m going to the PO again this morning to talk to them, but imagine I am just out the money. I doubt they will even honor the insurance, since they know it was delivered! |

In this case you DO have recourse. Any item insured over $50 MUST be signed by the reciever - postal carrier is NOT allowed to simply leave it at the doorstep.
Under $50 & insured, then they can leave at the doorstep and no signature required, but in this case you should be able to get paid for poastal negligence.
Of course this doesnt remedy the problem with PayPal - idiots
