I don't consider page views hits myself. If you are talking about page views that is an impressive number for that short period of time.

Judging by messages posted to PSU and traffic
counts on quantcast the three top sites seem to be:

IOffer
Ecrater
Blujay

I rarely sell anything without posting links to drive
traffic to my items listed on my website or blujay store.

During the last 7 to 8 years I havn't found an
alternative site that has enough traffic to generate
consistent sales.

Posting to usenet groups is fast and easy. Takes
me less than 10 minutes to post 20+ ads per day.
(You can cross post to 5 different groups with one
posting).

Popular usenet groups are listed here:

I kinda defined what actual hits are. I define an actual hit as someone who makes an offer, asks a legitimate question. These are very few and far between. Most of my buyers on Ebay (95%) just make the purchase and pay for the item without saying a word to me before the sale.

I just got a hit on Ioffer. Lady made me an offer of "you include the shipping charges and I will pay you a certain amount". Ain't gonna happen! Gotta send her/him a "very nice" email back rejecting the offer instead of telling them "What, do you want it for free!".

You sound like you have some good traffic with all those views. Just hope the site doesn't have their computer "rigged" to generate and create false traffic to get sellers to list there.

Actually I dont believe they do that over here - On the 4th there were very few views (sorry not tech word savvy - lol) anyways - Sunday was a little "slower" as well and today now it's picked up again. I've had a few questions about the items as well. So I know they are real humans - lol

I have 2 bids now - which is cool. So I'm happy over there. Very Happy

Hope ya'all have a great week and happy bidding/buying wherever you are.

It's great to hear someone is doing some sales on an alternative.

I'd call those questions and bids hits but that is my own tech talk.

I found out along time ago all the trades and businesses have their own lingo. Some trades and businesses use the same lingo but it means different things. Some companies make up their own lingo.

Hope you do well on your auction site. I myself chose Ioffer but haven't done that well their yet but that's mainly because I'm not giving my stuff away. I hang a decent price tag on items I sell.

I didn't get to many page views for the first three months but now my items are getting alot of views. Not to many questions (hits) yet but I did get a couple of questions. I've had 1 sale and one Non Paying buyer. All is because I charge fair market value instead of "Give It To Me Cheap" market value.

We'll see. Good luck with your bids.
