dlrane, I feel the same way. I decided I was going to finish The Enchanted Dog website and not mess with anything else for awhile. lol

And I'm trying to find out if we can import from somewhere besides ebay too.

Jo

Yes, that search will take you to a "Google" search page. Bonanzle is taking advantage of Google Custom Search Engine for their website. It works very well as long as it searches no more than 3 domains. That link is a result of going to Bonanzle Help and putting the search term import items. So all the result pages presented - in Google-type format - are Bonanzle-only pages that relate to the search terms.

Well isn't THAT slick. Didn't know you could do that within a website.

At any rate, it looks like you can!

Here's the link:

I love the humor on Bonanzle!! I still think Bobbi-invisible is a deliberate prank they're playing on her...

I learned a lot about Google CSE (Custom Search Engine) while creating my Alternative Auction Search - which you are more than welcome to use. The link will be back in my signature soonish (once the OLA poll links are removed). The most frustrating thing I learned is that if you search more than 3 (or maybe 4) domains, the results are limited to about 1/4 what they would be in standard Google search - and are not random. That is, if a page is "missing", even a very specific search for that page will not find it. So it's not that only 1/4 of possible results are returned, but that only 1/4 of possible pages are searched.

Nevertheless, the CSE can be a very useful tool and anyone can build one (pretty easy) and can put it on a website they own. You can build one and not put it on a website, also, as I did.

FYI to anyone who did not know this, Bobbi is invisible on Bonanzle. So she is able to hop in your booth and start talking to you on chat and you can't see her. It is FREAKY!!!

I think it is a funny Halloween trick...but I think it would not be so funny from her perspective.

So the site really does have a ghost (besides the guy who named himself "ghost".) And the ghost's name is Bobbi!

I have a Bonanzle Bonanza question. How far in advance do we have to schedule a Bonanza? If I want to do a 'Midnight Madness' Bonanza tonight, can I do it?

Also, if anyone can think of any kinds of items in particular that you may be interested in checking out tonight, I'm open to suggestions as far as what to add today before the sale. I have thousands of items to sell and a wide variety, but only around 70 are on Bonanzle so far.

Thanks!

edited to add ~ OK, the Midnight Madness Bonanza is scheduled for 10PM tonight Pacific Time. Will be sprucing up the booth as much as I can until then. Very Happy

I love your wagglepop store (especially since I do children's furniture!)

What is your Bonanzle store link?

I clicked on 'sell' at bonanzle just to see what the process would be and noticed that it is not a secure site when you enter your login information and password? (its http instead of https and there's no lock icon in the bottom right of the browser). Out of curiosity I tried the same at atomic mall and noted that theirs is secure, just an observation, I'm not a cheerleader for any specific site.

And just a general question to those who are signed up for multiple sites.. aren't you afraid that that means you can potentially get your account hacked into in multiple places (by phishing, keylogs, whatever)? Really, that's probably the biggest mental barrier for me.

I personally have used around 30 different sites and have never had such an issue.

good question joker, since i am thinking about joining bonanzle, that would be a good question to be answered. Maybe Mark can address that? Thank you.

Also, another question I asked here on the boards, got only partially answered (or maybe I just didnt understand the answer) but, if I used the ebay item transfer, it will transfer all of my active listings, once It transfers all my active listings, then do I then just select which of those active listings to transfer to my booth? Thank you so much.
