This is a
very good point Lady*Belle.
Annual billing (subscriptions), occur routinely with many online services. I've run into this problem myself. I once had a subscription to a site that I eventually cancelled at the site. BUT, I neglected to end the subscription at PayPal, and was socked with the recurring yearly fee. To completely end the situation, I had to go into PayPal and delete the subscription.
This type of thing can cause a lot of angst and ill will. We're seeing a bit of that here with rhonda39520 and
PSU. It's also been seen with folks at OLA.
It's important to cancel the annual service on
both ends... where the service originated,
and where the service is billed.
If not, a lot of misplaced and mistaken blame is placed on the service provider, as has been the case with
PSU most recently, OLA in the past, and others.
