On July 4 at South Fork Ranch, we went to the Dallas Tea Party----25,000 attended, and that's an official count. Great speakers, music, etc. It was HUGE and fun and inspiring, and gathered people from all political parties, united by the one idea that our government is overspending and has been overspending for a long time. (Nobody has clean hands in this---both political parties are guilty.)
We got there at 4:30, but during the heat of the day, many of us went into a huge air-conditioned meeting hall, where there was a buffet and also where the stage activities were piped in on large screen TV. We went back to the speaking area about 6:30, and by 7 p.m., from my seat at the front, I could turn and view citizens as far back as my eye could see. People brought chairs, blankets, etc., and an area at the very back was reserved for tents. It was great.
Around Labor Day my husband and I will be at the Taxpayer Protest March in Washington DC. Beginning at the Lincoln Memorial and ending at the Capitol. People of all parties---Democrat, Republican, Independent, etc.
The Taxpayer Protest March in DC will be on Saturday, Sept 12.
Y'all come!
Donna
