Hi! I am not yet an ex-ebayer, but hoping to be soon. I haven't had listing canceled or anything like that. I have always just sold extras from my own collection and that sort of thing, but I have done so for 11 years. I loved it and had fun. Never any complaints or trouble at all. However, I had not sold for over a year because I am working full-time. Boy have things changed and I was not ready for it.
Recently, I had one buyer upset because she thought I had misidentified my item and that she could resell it for double---but found out my item was exactly what I said it was. I ended up just refunding since PayPal would have anyway and I lost 26.87 in shipping and fees. A week later I had my first ever switcheroo. A buyer said that the doll was not as cute as in my pictures and again knowing that PayPal would give her a refund, I said send it back. I got a doll like mine, but in horrible condition dirty with missing fingers. On this transaction I have lost 145.00. I cannot stay in business with a company that delivers that kind of buyer. Of course both have perfect feedback and leave no feedback for sellers, so there is no way to see them coming. Is this what I can expect from other online venues too? |
