Appears to me that Ebay is going down a path which will eventually push sellers away. In the last few months selling has become a major hassle, non-paying bidders and those who get items, accept the item, use it then break it and report it as NOT AS described. I used to hear stories about this until it started happening to me. The problem I have is Ebay and Paypal don't care and no matter what you show them they always side with the buyers. Then on top of this you can't even warn other sellers with negative feedback. At one time I started to post on the Ebay forums but quickly found that Hitler Ebay is at work deleting and censoring posts.
While this post was deleted by Ebay I don't think its that bad, it was a response to some Hondamatic poster who constantly is a smart ____
What's the deal with this
guy "Is it not obvious what's going on here?" But he has to
always get a word in. NO s__t Sherlock, ya think people are
leaving? Duh........Got to wonder how some
people survive in this world? They see the tidal wave but
don't get out of the way, too busy thinking or yakking about
"how they do it". What's that suppose to mean, we're all
idiots and they have this secret plan? Excuse me,
but is this not the same poster that always has to comment?
Even if he has nothing to say? Hey Forrest,
ya think sellers are venting or leaving? Oh "VENTING" is
that what we're doing. We're voting and making it
apparent that things suck. I guess he's got an
answer and excuse for everything.... I'm
venting....ya dats it, venting. WRONG WRONG....
I'm not even mad, its hilarious whats going on and I'm
not stopping by either WRONG. Geesh now what? My
spelling, my grammar? Does heavily impacted
or major ANAL come to mind? Ya think?
Then this post was deleted and I was out of there period...
Finally, Ebay can see that people are voting with their
feet. Once the bulk of sellers departs it won't be too
long when Ebay realizes that buyers will leave since they
don't find what they want. The beauty is that the
American way is winning with Ebid.net, Amazon, Google,
Bonsale 9sp?) and the list goes on. Ebay screwed up big time
and there will be no second chance. New sites have
sprung up to meet the droves up disappointed sellers.
<br> Reminds me of Volkswagen which has never been the
same. Ever since years ago when they had dealerships in
every city. Then it got to their head, they treated
customers like crap as if they should thank them for driving
their cars. Then people switched to Toyota, Honda, Mazda
and even Ford. Dealerships closed in masses and they no
longer commend the market as they once did. The word spread,
the buyers lost faith and the market left. Fiat also
disappeared from the US market way back when.
I don't understand it, a regular guy starts this site,
has the right concept then a bunch of idiots take it over
and can't figure it out for the life of them. IT'S THE
SELLERS HELLO, not the buyers that drive this business.
In other retail businesses YES its the buyer but Ebay is
built on group effort of many not one product. If you
can't offer that then the buyers will also leave.
Maybe they should call it ChinaBay since the site is
over burdened with cheap Chinese junk, sometimes hundreds of
the same items just sprawled from end to end. Ever buy from
Hong Kong sellers? Good luck If only more people
made a stink then these Ebay cheer leaders that do
nothing but tell you to bend over and lube up, this is
the way it is, accept it. YOU MUST OBEY and play the
game. Geesh give me a break and get a life. Terms
of agreement, what a joke. They've changed that as they
wish. But they can't discount the fact that this is a
joint venture, which they profit from. Odd but as a
partner in sorts why don't we get to change our
agreement? We're doing this by going elsewhere, that's
the agreement. I hope Ebay reads our posts and thinks
about what its done, but I think its already too late.
Sometimes the TOO BIG companies like Microsoft just don't
get it, they're too big to listen. Remember Vista? What a
joke, never used it or had it on even one computer. Even
when they told us, they'd discontinue XP long ago. But with
volume comes strength most people complained and down
graded. Now its hard for people to jump on the Windows 7
wagon with the same fears. Good luck Microsoft
Ebay is in for the same ride, mark my words. It can get
bad as fast as it got BIG and good. But then too many
other BETTER sites have sprung up, stock will drop and
then who do you blame that moron of a CEO? We should
blame him, does he listen? Who calls the shots
here?
In a way I wanted to see how far I could push it, on another hand its
getting really ridiculous the way Ebay has changed.
This forum is probably the result of someone having enough with Ebay and wanting to stop all their control and doing their own thing.
Thanks for taking the time and starting this site
