I get this question (or some version of it quite often so I thought I'd post it here):
If the Vendio Store is free, then how do you make your money?
A: The Vendio Store is 100% free. You won't be charged a dime for using it, regardless of the number of items or revenue.
What costs money (and how Vendio makes money) is our Marketplaces Plan. Our Marketplaces Plan enables you to sell on eBay and Amazon for $10 a month plus a % of your transactions. You'll also need to add on an image hosting plan because your Store images (which are free) can't be used on eBay or Amazon.
Here's our pricing page:

According to Alipay's TOS, their escrow service isn't available to people living in AZ, CA, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR and WA. I hope anyone in those states thinking about buying from AliExpress (with the false sense of security of having "escrow" to protect them) reads that and thinks twice. That is a huge fact that has been hidden. Or am I missing something? |

So for 10 dollars a month you can sell at Vendio and use Ebay and Amazon. I looked at FV fees and up to 1,000 dollars is 1.95 fv.
our first $1000 1.95% of sales
$1,000.01 - $2,500 1.75% of sales
$2,500.01 - $5,000 1.5% of sales
$5,000.01 - $25,000 1.2% of sales
$25,000.01 and above 1% of sales
Then you need image hosting to do that on ebay or Amazon, etc and is:
Storage Monthly Subscription
3MB $3.00
5MB $5.00
55MB $10.00
150MB $20.00
500MB $35.00
10GB $50.00
Not really bad at all if you have no extra ebay/amazon fees, am I understanding this correctly. You can list on ebay, amazon, etc and just pay Vendio fees and nothing to ebay, etc itself. Maybe I don't understand it but that is much cheaper than just using Ebay by itself. An example: if a person paid the 10 dollar monthly fee and used a 55mb plan for another 10 dollars and listed 500 items fixed price because photos let's say were close to 100kb. Let's say you sold 50 items of them in a month, you only have to pay the Vendio fv fee, no extra money to ebay? If that's the case, I wonder why people using ebay don't save a ton and just use Vendio. Or am I missing something here? |

Unfortunately, you are still responsible for eBay fees. The amount you pay Vendio is to automate your sales on multiple channels instead of having to go each channel and listing directly. Essentially - you're paying for time saved using Vendio. |

That is because those idiot States have passed laws that forbid escrow services to any resident in their State where the escrow service is not itself regulated by that State.
So very few escrow services will offer services to residents of those States (each State demands bonds of hundreds of thousands of dollars, lots of paperwork and red-tape, etc).
So by trying to protect their residents, these States have denied their residents the ability to protect themselves with escrow services.
It is a nonsense.
Escrow services must be tightly regulated by their home Government.
But they need not be separately regulated by each State individually (it is just not economic to so do).
An escrow services tightly regulated by its own Government should be free to offer its services to residents of all States.
If you are in one of those States, petition your State Government to change your law to allow you to purchase escrow services that are tightly and properly regulated by Governments elsewhere. |

Which government tightly regulates Alipay?
Where do I go to sue them if they fail to do what they promise to do with MY money?
Just asking. |

I totally agree it is nonsense, and is something that needs to be addressed. But in the meantime, I don't think companies should be telling their customers "Don't worry! You are totally protected with escrow!" when they clearly are not. It's misleading and false advertising imo... |

Currently, Vendio supports only the eBay and Amazon marketplaces. We also support Google Product Search, Shopping.com & Shopzilla comparison shopping engines.
