Here anyone can vote their opinion of OLA anonymously. Go right ahead!

Because of how polls work here, I cannot change, add or delete any of the choices - I did my best to let you express your true views.

You can only vote on one occasion, but you can choose ALL the choices that you think apply. Check every box you like before you submit your vote.

Thanks for participating!

Purple, just curious to know your reasoning for this if you don't mind. If you're not a seller and not someone invested in OLA in and way, why all the effort in trying to get the word out one way or the other about the place? I read yesterday that you like on line shopping (so do I) -- surely it can't be for lack of places to shop. And, please don't take this the wrong way, I'm being sincere, I just don't get this interest you have in a place that so many people are so disgusted with. Of course, you don't have to answer me if you don't want to, but I am so curious. I wish I had some way of showing you the horrors of trying to be a seller there if you're not in the "in" crowd. Even if in the "inner" circle, no sales are guaranteed.

You know, what you just said has an eerily familiar ring to it... If you want the answer to that, read what I wrote yesterday, again. And I could say just about the same to you. Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm being sincere, I just don't get this interest you have in a place that you say your are disgusted with.... I wish I had a way to show you how much more effective your OLA undermining efforts could be if you spent some energy finding sites that are worth your support.

Purple, you know what, I give up -- I do know that I wouldn't dream of sending anything personal to you -- who are you? Who appointed you the keeper of personal information? I guess I'm missing something in your posts. I have been burned by OLA as a seller, you seem to me to be very much on the side of OLA from the way you express yourself. That's fine, I hope you enjoy shopping there.

Ok, it's fine with me if you don't want to share this email that you say has been forwarded to numerous others and that you wish to only talk about on this open forum.

The side that I am very much on is the side of PSU as a friendly, helpful, open place where everyone attempts to be considerate of everyone else. I am on the side of verifiable facts, and of assisting sellers as I can to find the information and help they may be looking for. I am on the side of e-commerce expansion beyond the confines of a select few sites and the "big-box" merchants. This evolution will happen with or without me, but I like to believe I can help it along through my own small efforts.

I am not on the side of reading endless accusations of actions that can not only not be proven, but are basically irrelevant to the big picture. And if you think I am only pro-OLA, go back and read the information I have attempted to provide yet again. I see both good points and bad points and have attempted to point them both out AND provide ways that my information can be checked and evaluated independently by the reader.

Purple, I have to disagree with you. A threatening email to a former OLA seller that point blank threatens the former member is not irrelevant. It is very relevant in showing the kinds of people that are on that site and what they are capable of when someone is not in their court. I know Caramia, I know how she ended up no longer on OLA. She didn't follow the cheerleaders -- I didn't either and am happy to be away from it. Many people on PSU are also in that position. Is it a crime for not following the cheerleaders -- for wanting certain things out of a site that were promised and not delivered? I think not. I honestly don't know how you think you can voice an opinion on what former or current sellers on OLA are doing or have to say unless you have been in that position. Observing via a chat room is not participating and feeling what goes truly goes on. If you want to speak as some kind of expert, spend a month there and then come back -- I'd be really happy to hear your opinions.

This is my first post here at psu - was afraid to register or make a comment as I am a very quiet person that has had success at ola & don't wish to be harrrassed. In view of the recent posts of the long time folks here, maybe now people like me can feel free to enjoy the entire psu site & take part in it's original purpose. Thanks!

[size=12]Hi lilolelady, No one here wishes to harass you. I'm glad you are doing well at OLA. The majority of people don't because there is no Google Feed. That is all I wish to let people know.[ /size]

Ditto!

I joined PSU back in Feb, but have been afraid to do much more than lurk occasionally and catch up on the news. I do NOT come to the forums because they have a reputation of attacking anyone who is pro-ola... and I am nothing if not pro-ola! Very Happy
And YES! I know the problems and issues with them, they have been BURNED into my brain by anti-ola folks ON ola, so I really don't need any "help" to find out what is so bad about them. I'm a grownup and a business owner and I have signed up a multiple sites and am even building my own website on my own domain! I'm not as techy as some, but a LOT more so than most. I agree that ola has issues, but for my business, the good about onlineauction.com outweighs the bad by a large amount. Timelines are fluid, especially when it comes to computers, and money is tight everywhere, so I am being patient, building, advertising, and waiting. ANYTHING is better than being stuck on ebay!

Since you are so "pro -OLA" by your own admission, perhaps you would like to include a link to your OLA House?
How about providing some proof as to the number of sales you've made via OLA ?
Something, anything that could be considered hard evidence that OLA should be considered as a venue.

My name is the same here as it is everywhere. I have nothing to hide! You can find me and my 105 feedbacks on ola by searching for jahjesters.
Most of those, though not all, are sales and I only started selling there in March. I had one bad encounter with an ebay seller who tried to scam me and have been happy with most of the rest of the transactions.
I don't know what kind of "proof" would satisfy an ola basher, but you are welcome to visit my store and check my ratings.
